Ooh la la. Amazing alloys there anilisanil. I can't take my eyes off them. Ride out to lavasa. I'll swap the set of wheels

By the way, what does the warranty/ bill include in their terms and conditions?

Thanks MX. It has general one year replacement warranty and lifetime warranty for shape (right circular cylinder). And I think you can buy a single piece if any of them is accidentally broken :P, god forbid!

Very nice set of alloys, Anil. They go very nicely with the color of your Figo.

mileage update:

took ~ 39 liters for 688 km. Returned me a mileage of 17.66.

Running is 100% city with a/c on 50% of the times.

I have a small problem.

when I am filling up at Shell, the free under bonnet service guy checked my engine oil and told me that the oil has become a bit viscous. I clocked 6300 kms that is about 3800 kms after first service. Should I go for the oil change? Oil level is fine though.

What should be the tyre pressure for the Ford Figo, with the driver alone, or with two occupants in the car?

In GTOs initial review he seems to suggest Fiesta's 1.6 Duratec will be plonked into the figo at some point. Now that the sales have taken off, its probably time to have that hot hatch option just like the polo 1.6. Any ideas if this is going to happen in the near future?

My figo nagging issues still continue...
Had a small 400km long drive from chennai yesterday. During rain, the water is coming inside through the bonnect lever on the left side inside the cabin. The windshield change has screwed up. Planning to take to the SC after diwali.

Philips extreme power (60/55w) is better then stock headlights Halonix. Comfortable till 80km during night but not during rain.
@Indizen- have 32 in front & 36 in rear.

@anilsnail: I believe that Ford uses semi-synthetic engine oil. Even though there is a service interval of 15,000km before an oil change, I believe that to keep the engine running at the healthiest, given Indian conditions, the oil should be changed every 7,500kms for semi-synthetic and synthetic oil.
In our Fiesta, we get the oil changed every six months (synthetic).

Also, engine oil in diesels tends to be thicker and darker than the ones used in petrols, so if you have switched recently, that could be a reason.

No you do not have any problem.

There is no way anyone can take a look at oil and deduce its viscosity and what does "become a bit viscous" mean and more viscous compared to what. If he did not say that, then how else would he move all the oil sitting in his stock. If I were to show you liquids of different viscosity sticking on to a dip stick you(or anyone else for that matter) will find it impossible to tell as to which has a viscosity of 60SSU and which one is 60000 SSU.

As on ail runs its course through the engine, it will pick up all that is to be picked up and will lose its clean look and turn black or muddy brown depending on the base colour used in the oil. The change in colour makes the oil appear thicker than what it looks like when new. What this change in colour actually shows is that the oil is working and that it will carry away all of this microscopic gunk with it when it is drained.

Stick to the change interval recommended in your car's manual.

Thanks Lambo and Khoj for clarifying.

@Lambo: Yeah, even I am planning to get an-earlier-than-suggested oil change just to be safe! But just thought 2 months/3500 Kms is too early for oil change

So I am playing along with the same oil! Thanks guys!

Hey Anil nice alloys there, just noticed that the spokes direction is the same, meaning there is no alloy for 'left side of the car' and 'right side of the car'. This makes the right side alloy spokes move in forward direction and left in reverse, hope I made sense here! Have a look at the pics again, you will know what I mean!

Hey Anil,

Did you get the oil changed during first service?
Diesel oils are generally thicker than petrol engine oil, so maybe he felt it was thicker.
