Thanks skanchan95. Here is the pic to which I fixed the armrest (circled in red). Its at the bottom of the bottle holder. Can be accessed from back seat. The upper screw is of height adjustment.

Can you post pics of the screw location where it should fit? Also, how comfortable it is during the drive, the armrest is coming at a reasonable good height with respect to the gear lever?

Thanks!

Edit: When I check out on Amazon, there are different options available with car models (Swift, Duster, Polo etc.) Which one did you choose?
@teemus It is comfortable while driving. You can adjust the height as per you requirement.
You can select Auto Pearl- Universal Big Car Armrest Centre Console Hand Rest - Beige Chrome - All Cars. Its Universal armrest.
I think its available in black as well.

Thank you for the picture. The Figo has something similar as well.

But how did you manage to take out the screws below the bottle holder? To me it looks like a screw shaped plug (on both sides) that cannot be taken out like a normal screw with a screwdriver (i.e it does not seem to have any groove for the screwdriver head to sit on and turn).

Any guidance to take those screws out is highly appreciated.

Its exactly the same what Aspire has.
Just remove the screws using Sickle (something like this).

Can you share more pictures from behind. Are you able to use the big bottle holder now?

Sam

No. The big bottle holder is of no use now, but I can use the other 2 bottle holders with 1/2 ltr bottle
I will click more pics tomorrow morning and post.

I got a generic armrest for my Figo from the local accessories shop. It did not require that much effort for installation. The entire console was a simple Snap on. I lost the bottle holders through(except perhaps one). Details and pictures here:

I think this is the one you were looking for (in Black) : Link

The page says it is specific for the new Figo, but I feel that it is a generic one and may fit all cars.

Thanks for the clarification man!

I most definitely want this in the car but will have to get an approval from the Home Minister; for that will have to make her understand that indeed it is comfortable and a must-have.

Of course it is, as long as you haven't changed the bulbs.
I should be getting my replacement this week, but Ford should probably do a nationwide recall for the same. It's obviously a manufacturing defect.

I agree, completely!
This looks like an issue with particular batches of Aspires/Figos. Ford should do some rethinking.
Reflectors should certainly last longer than this (luckily my Figo's reflectors are still intact, even after more than 10000KM of headlights-on service!)

It looks like Ford has silently added ABS and EBD to the trend variants of Figo and Aspire:

To avoid any confusion, here is another screenshot from the official website showing the presence of ABS+EBD in both petrol an diesel versions of the Trend trim.
