I am not so sure about pre-2014 Jetta's as gannu pointed out. I dont have a RVC installed - i dont need it with the rear view mirrors and sensors :-)

Why I am so keen on knowing in advance if OPS display will work is that in case it works then do not need the camera and will not order it.

Otherwise plan on ordering everything together.

If you have access to a VCDS cable, check:

1. Address 19 > CAN Gateway > Installation list.
2. Check if under address 10 - Park Assist is checked.
3. Save coding, exit and check if it works.

If VCDS cannot detect the OPS module, then this 8K OPS module is not canbus compatible and will require a swap for the display to appear on the HU screen.

Thanks. Do not have access to a VCDS cable. However, since already have 2 VW cars, was thinking of buying one.

How is the built quality? Also, does it seem that it will fit nicely on the boot lip?

Will try and get it fitted this weekend. Shall update the thread then. Quality looks all right.

Looks like R340G is available on Aliexpress, however the model number does not match with the one available in new Polo/Vento. Hence I feel this might be a modified firmware.

Yes, looks like this is a 187B with modified firmware that enables Android Auto. The seller has also changed the color theme from yellow to red. I placed an order for this unit yesterday. I'll report back once I receive the unit.

I am on the verge of buying a 2012 Vento Highline which comes with the RCD 030 head unit. I am very much interested in swapping the RCD 030 with the RCD 330G plus. Most of the links posted in the previous pages are inactive now, can anyone suggest me a reliable seller. Till now I have come across this seller who has the maximum orders :

Finally got an excellent VCDS cable from AliExpress. I think it is from the OEM who makes is for Ross-Tech as the quality is quite good with Ross-Tech markings over it.

Connected it to my car and found that the OPS is addressable (screen shot attached). I think it implies that I will get an OPS display on the RCD330G Plus unit. In which case I do not want to install an RVC.

Any inputs or confirmation from the experts?

The bad news is that my car is throwing up some errors related to ESP. Will get it checked as it is still in extended warranty.
