This isn't going to happen. As per various rumors and sources, Apple is going to directly move to wireless charging (no port) from the current lightning port while being fully compliant with EU laws.

I am planning to buy iPhone 14 Pro Max 128 GB. Are there any good deals going on you guys know that I am missing, I want your recommendations on where I can buy it at the most discounted rate. From which store ( apple authorized like ivenus or Croma or reliance digital ) or online ( amazon or Flipkart)? Whether online or offline store, it is priced At Rs.1,39,000 which is its launch price

Since I had an old iPhone7 128 GB to exchange, got it done inshop. Croma (through Servify) lowballed on the exchange price at 4500. Went to Vijay Sales which has Cashify as their buyback partner and they offered 6600. Along with that some 3000/- odd Exchange Bonus and another 5000 as HDFC instant Cashback.I had also checked at unistore and they were ridiculous with a 3500 Rs buyback and no exchange bonus for offers below 6000 Rs.
So if you have any phone to exchange and a HDFC card, go instore ( try all you have mentioned as it depends on the person manning the buyback booth) and get the best deal.
If nothing to exchange or availing card offers, won't matter if you buy it online or offline.
Tip: Upsize to a 256 GB instead of 128GB.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Guys, do try the Brave browser. Based on the suggestions from another thread, I switched to Brave and honestly, haven’t felt the need to go back to Safari. Pages load faster, ad block is built in, there’s a default password manager and the added privacy suite.

+1

Have been a user for the last 2 years. Never felt the need to switch to any other browser ever since.

Recommend using brave with DuckDuckgo as default search engine. And then you get very specific (to your search term) and unbiased search results.

Used it for almost 2 years. Wonderful experience.
Recently tried Orion browser (https://browser.kagi.com). Experience is just great. Haven't gone back to any browser after this. Using it on iPhone and Macbook.

My 12 year old got me to use this browser. Very happy, especially on my Mac. Just for the password manager, I still don't have enough confidence on entrusting it with my credentials. For that I am still using Apple's.

Re: The iPhone Thread

What is greater ? The iPhone or its craze or the limit of the craze ?
https://www.news18.com/news/buzz/chi...e-3088469.html

There are plenty of others who go under debt to own iPhone only to realise another Model would be on the shelf within an year.

I use brave browser primarily for YouTube. Hate those annoying ads, and now after using brave, I haven’t seen any ads on YouTube on my phone

Re: The iPhone Thread

So finally bite the bullet and upgraded after 5 years from iPhone X to 14 Pro Max.

Loving the real estate.

Only question remains whether to opt for Apple care?

Have you noticed any battery drain issue after 16.2. Is there any change in SOT in your 14Plus. I'm waiting for some user response before updating because this is my primary phone and I have some outstation trips coming up so don't want to screw it up specially with regard to battery back up.

Congratulations on your 14 Pro Max. Since you have used the your earlier phone for 5 years you must be a careful user. Due to your background I would say Apple Care is not really necessary in your case. I say roll the dice and save that money.

Cheers

Totally agree. Stay away from all add ons especially the Apple Care. I paid for 2 years and wasted $20/month for 2 iPhones before I realized they are built like a tank and will never have any issues.

Also avoid heavy covers (I would recommend a clear case light cover so the beauty of the iPhone is visible)

Use a blue screen (I do to protect the eyes) but, not mandatory.

First time in my life I didn't upgrade and will now wait for the 15 Promax (I already started the countdown for September 2023)

Cheers and Enjoy the 14 Promax and do share your detailed impressions since you are upgrading after so many years.
