Happened with me recently. Diagnosed it to having disabled 'background app refresh' for WhatsApp. Enabled the same again and it went through. Maybe this will work for you too.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Last evening the 14 Pro Max on ios 16.2 faced the black screen of death. Searched online which is when I found that it is called the Black Screen of death. Solution suggested was pressing the Volume up followed by Volume down button and then keeping the Power button pressed till you see the apple logo, essentially called as forced restart. It took a good 50 odd tries of varying lengths of power button presses to force restart with success. 2 restarts in between were short lived. The battery was below 20 %. I have killed all open apps and turned off 5G to begin with. Let's see how it goes.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Is there any post which talks about iPhone 14 Pro Max Leather cases?

Apple ones are way too high.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I have an issue with my WhatsApp and WhatsApp web syncing. Usually messages tend to appear on the phone but not on the WhatsApp web due to lag in sync. But I’m have the opposite issue.

I got a WhatsApp this morning while my computer(I use WhatsApp web app on my Mac) was turned off hence WhatsApp web was not on. That message never appeared on my iPhone WhatsApp instead few hours later when I opened WhatsApp web the message was there from hours ago when my computer was off but phone was on.
This is the second time this peculiar issue has happened. Any idea how I can fix it?

I use WhatsApp for Mac (the app) rather than WhatsApp web. Much more reliable, stable and better than web version. Maybe that would help. A lot of times, web browser's behaviour (cookies, cache etc.) affects the tab/page on which WhatsApp web is open in.

Well. Tried this for couple of days but situation remains the same. Seems will have to wait for next ios update or do something else to rectify this.

The chat backup seems to be working for me in Whatsapp Beta but not on the public version.

There's definitely something wrong with Whatsapp for iOS.

Update: Apple quoted their original battery replacement to be of 4900 (at least in Hyderabad). So, it is actually cheaper than Cashify!
Do check with Apple for battery replacement before getting it done from outside.

Also, did not buy the 11 Pro, got a new iPhone 12 instead.

Re: The iPhone Thread

For those interested, the iPhone 14 is available at a very lucrative price of 64k (after card discounts) on Flipkart.

Infact, it’s surprising that noone mentioned about it here; or is 14 really that boring that noone is interested.

Nonetheless, but iPhone 14 at 64k is a steal deal IMHO; especially considering that it’s just 4 months since launch and the price difference between the 1.5 year old 13 is barely 5-6k INR. For this additional amount you get 2GB of extra RAM, slightly better cameras, better connectivity speeds including Wi-Fi, 5G & BT, wxtra year of software support (maybe) and some distinguishing colours over the iPhone 13.

For those looking for iPhone 13, Amazon has better deals.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I'm facing a strange issue with my 14Plus. After updating to 16.2, it's not connecting to my home wifi automatically like it used to do on 16.1.1. I have to select my wifi manually everytime to join the network and yes auto join is enabled. Is it a common issue or I'm the only one facing it.

Try resetting the network settings; should fix this IMO. Only thing you'll have to re-connect to all the networks viz. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.

Is it that expensive? I was thinking its under 5-6k but 8.5k sound pretty steep.
Update: Got it done in Kolkata. Cost me 5k.

Earlier as well I have seen rates been far reasonably in Raipur Apple service centre when was changing batteries for 6 & 6s. So I guess there’s no regulation on these prices from Apple.

Re: The iPhone Thread

It's 15-months that I'm using my iPhone 13 Promax with same clear case from Spigen which costed $12 in 2021.

I love clear cases as it displays the beauty of an iPhone.

I saw that Spigen bumped up their price drastically.

Decided to get the Amazon Basic's Clear Case for $9. (Actually, spent $0- Amazon cash backs are an amazing tool).

It looks, feels and holds premium.

On Left- New Case, On Right- Old Spigen Case that got discolored

Feels like I just bought the iPhone brand new.

Can't wait for September to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Promax.
