Compared to earlier with iOS 5 the battery seems to be very week now after upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 :(
Is it really an issue or it's happening for me only?

I have a query - is it possible to transfer files from iPhone 3gs to iPhone 4 and vice versa via bluetooth?

Please check AppStore. So many free apps are there for this purpose.

I have not noticed any issues in 5 or 5.0.1 but iClarified - Apple News - Test Confirms iPhone 4S Battery Issues Are Software Based

Also try restoring the phone, sometime that sorts out such gremlins.

Iphone iOS 5.0.1 battery issue bug fix update released yesterday, go ahead and update. I have updated last night and charged the battery fully and am going to keep 3G on for a day and see how the battery charge lasts.

Just click Appstore icon in your iPhone and search for Bluetooth, it results alot of Free & paid apps. I am using "Bluetooth Transfer" apps.
Install it as your wish and it's done.
you can send files through Bluetooth only between Apple Devices.

re: The iPhone Thread

There was an update last night and now battery seems to last much better, try it out. I having been leaving the phone on 3G the whole day with not much of a drain as compared to before the update.

re: The iPhone Thread

One of my friends is returning from the USA. Am planning to get the Iphone4S from there. The prices look very attractive in NY with the base model retailing at $649 (~INR 34,000)

Am also very keen on getting the phone home with the box sealed. I just would like to know if I have to shell out anything on customs?? Or is there a legitimate way to bring it home without shelling out any money on Taxes.

Would be glad to hear from frequent foreign travelers on this!

re: The iPhone Thread

You can carry one mobile phone without any issues at customs. Just ask him to carry it along in his cabin baggage. Also ask him to get the state tax refund at the US airport when he exits.

AFAIK the warranty for all iPhones is valid only in the country where you buy it. There is no international warranty. So if you want a iPhone with warranty, please buy it when it launches in India (thats not too far off)

Oh really?? That's a news to me. Thanks.

I don't mind waiting for the official launch in india but then the price difference is too steep. However spending big $$$ to buy a phone that does not have a warranty in India doesn't sound like a great idea to me.
