Which location are you taking about? If he is in Bangalore he has 3 dealers,

1. India Garage - Palace Cross Road & Yelahanka
2. Anant Cars - Bannerghatta Road & Mysore Road
3. Sireesh Auto - Silk Board

Hope this helps!!

Hi Friends,
I am thinking about HID conversion in my XUV. Do any of you have any experience with the Vheelocity HID conversion kit below?

http://www.amazon.in/Vheelocity-7860...9&keywords=XUV

How good or bad is your experience with it? If there are any other options that I should consider, please let me know also.
PS: I bought/installed the Coozo 5D (!!) mats (with 3rd row) in my XUV. Seems perfect fit.

Amazon price 7250, but flipkart has it for 5400

Have you checked about this brand from anybody else or was it a random search? Because I see that it is sold by different users and the other dealer is retailing it at 8999/-, whereas the first dealer is retailing at 3200/-. Somewhere I sense it is not of a good quality, until and unless somebody who are using it can comment on it. Also I don't see any reviews on that product.

Please keep us updated if you go ahead with the same, as even I am planning for one

Secondly on my way back when I complete 2000K I tried to rev up the engine to check what is the maximum speed i can touch. To my disappointment I saw the car struggling to accelerate due to lack of power above 120 KM/hr.
Is there any speed lock set before the first service or should i take up this issue with Mahindra.
To start with 120 is above the legal speed limit in India. Anyhow, the vehicle should not be struggling at 120 Km/h. Did you manage to get the tachometer reading at the max speed the vehicle was giving.

There is no speed lock as such, however the running in period for your car would already be over. Get it checked at the A.S.C. could be an issue with the ECU settings or the vehicle is not getting the right amount of fuel.

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

Hi,
Time to change tyres
What model / make would be suitable as I drive on many rough roads
Goodyear tyres are being quoted at 14.5K
Did any one Yokohomo tyres for XUV?
Anybody can give feedback on hankook tyres?
Which tyre is suitable for a 80k km mileage?

Best regards
Bala

No idea about Yokohama or Hankook, but surely Michelin (15k per tyre) & Continental (16k per tyre) will serve 80k kms. Bridgestone Dueler is also good at 12.5k per tyre but won't serve more than 50-60k kms.

Thanks for the info. Can you please point out any particular models of Michelin or continental. TIA

Or is anybody changing their tyres for the new XUV? I can work out a better price than the tyre shop guys

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

Anybody running Maxxis 771 Bravo tyres on their XUV? I am planning to change tyres to A/T once I get my vehicle delivered (hopefully by 20 Aug).

I considered Yokohama Geolandar AT-S as I had good experience with Geolander AT-II+ on my Jeep. However backtracked from the idea for 2 reasons 1) Several reported incidents of weak side wall leading to many tyre bursts 2) 235/65R17 size is not sold by Yokohama in India - a dealer did have this size from import lot (his claim). I was wondering will Yokohama extend the warranty for tyres that are imported directly by dealers?

I didn't find any reviews from Indian users about Maxxis 771 Bravo (most of the times these tyres are put on Thar). However read good reviews on Australian and other foreign forums. Any comments from XUV owners running these tyres would be very helpful.
