A Storme VX 4x2, Urban Bronze, upgrades are, Michelin Latitude Cross in OE spec, the car came with the Blaupunkt touchscreen HU, I got rear headrest screens and a reverse camera complimentary from the dealer. I just bought some decent rubber floor mats and I'm satisfied with the package.
It's been a month today and the vehicle has done 5300kms already.
That's a BEAUTIFUL pic man!! Looks like quite a sweet deal. But how did the car come with the Blaupaunkt touch screen?

COngrats on the acquisition.

Thanks Swiftnfurious, It's not branded Blaupunkt, the logo says Tata, but the instruction manual is by Blaupunkt, they must be supplying the HU to TML.

Congrats bro, looks beautiful! Some details (photos) of the headrest screens would be great too please. How much are they for if you had to buy them?

You missed my point! Storme comes with a single DIN unit right? As far as I can recollect, a 2 DIN touch screen is provided as a part of explorer edition alone. So I was indirectly asking whether your installed that HU.

Yes, the explorer edition comes with a touch screen HU and that's what I've been given in my car, it's not technically 2DIN . Here's the pic

Does this protruding display cause any discomfort while engaging gears 1, 3, or 5. And how is the visibility (speaking ergonomically) and what about the usability of the cup holders?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

In the month of ownership, I have never managed to touch the screen unintentionally while changing gears, I asked some friends of mine to drive, out if some 5 people who drove, only one touched the screen, that too because he had this habit of keeping his index finger pointed outwards while changing gears.
The positioning of the cup holders, with or without the protruding screen is pretty much useless.
The screen images cannot be clearly seen in bright daylight from the normal driving position.

Re: Tata Safari Storme : Official Review

Folks

I would like to get DRLs for Black Knight. I have a couple of questions

1. Has anyone put in DRLs for their Storme ?
2. If they are connected to the ignition line, does that void any electrical warranty ?
3. I would like to get yellow/amber/orange DRLs. I would like to merge that with yellowed alloys maybe at some point of time. And the yellow/amber/orange would go well with the parking/indicators. So it wont stick out like a sore thumb. I saw the one done by "ecosport rules" on his silver Ecosport and it does look very good.
4. Is there any good shop that sells quality DRLs and does fitting in Bangalore.

Would like to try this out this weekend. So quick responses are very welcome.

@Subraiyr, why Yellow / Amber / Orange ?
Where do you want to place them ?
how will you match them with parking / indicators ? Remember, the parking indicator is still white from outside.

And why not white ?

I thought the white, longitudinal ones would be nice - if they can be fitted into the slot in the bumper, below the front number plate.

tried to imagine DRLs at multiple places on the beast, where ever you place them at least in the imagery they were making the beast look sissy

Re: Tata Safari Storme : Official Review

I did imagine them being placed below, dont know if its just me or the shape of the headlamps that is making DRL in my opinion not required.

Hope you find suitable ones :-), make sure the beast looks even more menacing.
