No Jugaad required really, I have “Farad” bars and a roof box installed on my Skoda, and I’m in the market for a Safari. I checked with the distributor if this box and rails can be fit on a safari and he has confirmed that it can be.
Sent the following pictures too, tested on a sunroof model, mentioned that the sunroof opens.

They have a website and insta page too - Farad India (it’s an Italian brand, using the box for 3 years now, as good or better as Thule, and a little cheaper).

Thanks,
Aayush

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

Ive been requesting a number of queries of late and it's so heartwarming that all those queries have been answered in detail and care! I plan to book the Safari Dark XZA+ on the 14th of April from KHT, Domlur, Bangalore. This is the quote:-
Ex Showroom price: 22,44,500
TCS@1%: 22,445
Road Tax: 4,48,451
Fast Tag: 400
Insurance: 1,23,384 - discount of 40,000 = 83,384
Reg Fee: 2,600
Corporate Discount: -5,000
They have also put in an Exchange Bonus of 40,000 for my 2004 Mahindra Scorpio (without inspecting it, so far)

May I please request your opinion/guidance on the negotiation?
Thank you!

Thank you! I saw the price quote you mentioned in the above post which is almost similar to mine I didn’t get corporate discount as my company is not listed.

Plus I took insurance outside with few add ons for Rs 70k. Dealer is not open to any discount or freebies. Thanks to semiconductor chip shortage they make us feel thankful to get the vehicle delivered without any feature deletion and in about 4-6 weeks time.

Please DM me for further details if you need.

The brackets are coated with a rubber like material, the shoes (next to the roof rails) are rubber again, and nope I’ve used this on my car for 3years plus (the box is constantly on the car) with or without loads no such thing. The weight is distributed well across four doors.
No scratches either. Attaching a picture for an easier reference:

The box is well secured with locks inside the box, it doesn’t move at all. also has a locking key for the user to lock valuables inside.

Cheers

Thank you yet once again. You have taken so much of pains to explain things in such detail! Very kind of you. I tried what you've explained but I think there's a little snag with my account.

Can I please ask if you had any Ceramic Coating done before you took the delivery? Your vehicle looks so shining and classy!

I'm interested in paint protection film (PPF) but it's quite expensive...I'm hearing contrary views on this - few opine that instead of expensive PPF wrapping the whole vehicle, one can paint the impacted body panels through insurance once in a while. Scratches stand out in dark edition more than any other color. I'm not yet decided on PPF wrapping.

Thanks. Yes, I hear that in case of PPF, if we have to remove the coating in case of a damage, then it might get a bit complicated.
