I am not signing the cheque unless they quote me a 2L discount on 31.7.
Just to give you an idea: I bought Style 2021 manufactured car in May 2022 at 29.5L (Including 25K TCS which I can adjust against my tax) OTR down from initial quote of 32L.

Thank you so much for your input. This reference point will help me in the negotiations a lot

Re: Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI DSG Review

Is the memory seat function on the Octavia not a one-touch operation?

I’ve configured different seat positions for the numbers but having to hold the number for the seat to get into that position. Is this how it is?

Unfortunately that's how it is in all cars.

Its one touch only if you are not sitting in the seat.

Hi, Please note that this is for the 2021 manufactured VIN that they were offering huge discounts.

For the 2022 ones atleast here in Chennai, there aren't any offers currently except Amex card and some reduction in the Insurance list price.

While parking in really tight spots in a controlled environment (say, relying on proximity sensors or an external help), it is better to turn off manoeuvre braking from the infotainment system since the feature prevents one from creeping smoothly very close to an obstacle.

Once the system applies the brakes, one needs to give some throttle to resume movement, with inches to spare it actually proves detrimental when the car lunges ahead

At my hometown where we need to park back to back with inches to spare, I found myself turning off the feature on need basis

Only with all the parameters optimised does the garage door close (with an extension chain )

Agreed. Faced that once with a rental car in the EU. Very disconcerting in tight spaces.

One unsolicited suggestion: affix sliced pool noodles or thermocol bricks on that back wall. While you can be careful, it's always advisable to have a Plan B

If you keep the door open (Even slightly), a single push on the memory button works even when you are seated

I think this(single touch) works only for the memory position 1.

It works for all 3 for me. However, as reported on this thread, you need to keep it pressed if the door is closed.

Very useful information for me with our apartment parking being a difficult one even with my current Nexon.

I have always seen the real service cost is slightly higher than what is quoted in the Skoda website, at least in Bangalore.
