Any chance this gentleman is a BHPian ? Folks who are waiting for their XUV700, it is indeed worth the wait.
Had a chance to sit in one, everything I saw and touched left me smitten! Now I'm thinking only if I had waited one more year and got this car instead of my Creta.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Got my steed on 16th Dec. Booked on 7th AUG and was in the first 25k slot. Got the tires changed to 255/55/18 and got complete PPF done. Completed 860KMS as of now and explored all the available features. Thoroughly enjoying every moment with the car.

Congratulations !

You moved from 235/60 R18 to 255/55 R18, thought 60 is really good sidewall for Indian roads?

Can you please share ppf cost?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Ladies and gentlemen, apologies for not being able to post since the past couple of days. Have been submerged in crazy work. Really touched by the gesture of many BHPians who reached out to check on my delivery and send their heartfelt wishes. Truly wonderful to be a part of this august club!

Finally received delivery of our very own XUV 700 (AX7 Petrol Automatic, Everest White) yesterday evening. The delivery date of 21.12.21 made the experience even more memorable. Dealer staff made sure that the delivery was seamless. After much criticism over the past few weeks, I am pleased to note that they do deserve a pat on the back at the end of the day.

Attaching only a couple of photos below. The only time I've had with the vehicle has been the short drive yesterday from the showroom at Andheri to Siddhivinayak Temple and from there, back home to Mahim. Have been busy with a shoot, so will get proper time with the White Beauty only once I'm back home tomorrow. Absolutely cannot wait to take her out on a date (*wink wink*).

Working on an initial ownership review; will share in just a few days. Thank you to all of you for the constant support, advice, suggestions and most importantly, for bearing my rants. Cheers!

See, that's what got me hooked.
Of course, if he is here somewhere, let him let us know.

By the way, had you not got your Creta you'd have to wait 1 year and some. Waiting period!

Now just drive another 2 years and get the mid life face-lift. That should be the best of both worlds.

In both cases the sidewall height is almost the same (140-141mm) and it is the width which would increase with 255/55 giving it a higher contact patch. Expect lower FE, slightly lesser acceleration and top speed, better braking, less prone to skidding.

Still not sure which of the brothers is better looking from the front. The blue lady, perhaps

Hi, My travel will be 80% on highway and hence opted for 255/55. Had driven 400 KMS couple of days back and the ride is bliss. I had the same specs on my XUV500 too 255/55/17 and very happy with it.

A friend of mine owns an accessories store and we got a complete roll directly from a vendor. The total that I paid including installation is 70k

Congratulations buddy, finally !
Good to know that at least final delivery process was seamless. While i might be biased when i say this ( I know i am biased ), everest white is best choice :-)

235/60 means 141mm sidewall and 255/60 is 140.25mm. So the difference in sidewall is negligible.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi guys
I had booked AX7 MT D (non luxury), on 8th. Expected delivery was Aug 2022.
But today got a call from the dealer that the car is available immediately. He said it's because of cancellations.
Is there anything I should be concerned about? Pls guide.
I am inclined towards picking it up.
I can think of the following.
1. Ask VIN (though not sure how significant is manufacturing month right now, sitting in December - and I am not too concerned about 2021 vs 2022 manufacturing)
2. Get the chasis and engine number (anything specific I should be checking with these?)
3. Check odometer for excessive KMs on it considering its out of turn allotment
4. Establish its not a TD vehicle - only way I could do this is speaking to the dealer indepth, checking ODO and visually inspecting the vehicle for mishandling etc
4. PDI when I get a chance at the earliest though

Anything else I should consider in deciding whether I should pick it up or give it a miss?
Thanks in advance folks.

Thank you for answering, I am aware of that, intention was, "what made him to change apart from regular reasons", was not sure if it had anything to do with Michelin size availability :-)
