Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Last couple of fills have been the XP95 from IOCL and I have noticed an improved FE for sure. At least by a Kmpl on the MID and TankFull method being very close to the MID values. SO within the city and peak traffic conditions, am getting around 7 kmpl.
Today we took the Black Panther on the Highway for a longish drive...Filled the tank on the way at a COCO with XP95. Well, while the numbers would be a very optimistic one (With driven Kms less than 50 after filling up), it certainly gives some confidence to all those with the P AT versions, of the capability of this engine.

I want to upgrade the music system in the family’s WagonR and would appreciate the guidance. Thank you !
My Brezza has Dr Artex damping in the doors and boot, a set of JL Audio C650 components in the front, a set of JL Audio C650x coaxials in the back, a JL Audio 10 inch sealed sub in the boot, a Cerwin Wega mono amp and an Infinity Reference Series 4 channel amp. Overall cost was somewhere around 80-90k over 2 years. I might be able to help you a bit if I know what you're looking for.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Got my 3rd service done at approx ~13k KM and the bill came to ~10k.

I was told front-break pads need to be replaced.

Things that were done:
- Local Spare Part Consumable-Spray: ₹210.
- Local Spare Part Consumable-Rust Off 100ml: ₹135.
- Maxmile Brake Fluid Dot 4 250 ml: ₹193.
- Kit Pad Assy Front: ₹5,770.
- Carbon Filter: ₹750.
- Fuel Filter: ₹345.
- Maxicare Engine Coating System: ₹998 (What exactly is this? No clue).
- Maxicare Mech Care: ₹414 (Again no idea what this is for?).
- Maxicare Wind Shield Washer LV Rustore.

+ Labour charges.

Note: I've only mentioned prices for some including taxes/rounded off.

Software update was also done.

I'm wondering if anything is missing and if this is the expected things in 3rd service?

It doesn't look like Engine oil was touched whereas the current discussion says it should've been?

According to the manual, the oil change is every 20k kilometers. About The Engine Coating System, I was told that they can't wash the engine bay with water so they are using this coating thing to keep the engine bay clean.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

After 4 months of owning the AX7L P AT, I now notice a slight dug - dug sound in the boot. I use a multi-level car park at the office and this sound is noticeable while driving down the circular pathway in between the levels. Mine is a Jan23 manufactured car. I have reached out to the CoTek and his first response was that this happens when the fuel level is between 3/4 and 1/4th. Not sure if this is a cock and bull story - but I wanted to check if other folks have experienced this.
On that note, I still asked him to double-check and waiting on his response if there is any service bulletin out for my VIN number.

Any insights would be appreciated

Cheers

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

This post is to know if this is the case with all 1 year old bookings or only me.

I have booked AX7 P manual in July-22 (i.e 1 year back). Back in Q1 of 2023, the estimated delivery had come down to May'23. Just 1 month before that, I received a message that the delivery is delayed and the date moved to Jul'23. Now again 10 days before the estimated delivery, I receive one more message again yesterday and my delivery date is moved to Sep'23. Every 3 months I am getting new date and it keeps on moving farther and farther. I am feeling like Sunny Deol inside me screaming 'Tareekh pe tareekh.. tareekh pe tareekh...'

This is so frustrating that
1. The on-road price is increasing with every passing month with no additional features as such
2. The funds arranged for making the payments cannot be redirected considering the uncertainty of the delivery. I am actually losing on the interest.
3. Other manufacturers delivering the vehicles in much lesser waiting time. My friends who booked much later than me are already driving their new cars.

I really cant believe that a company like Mahindra is still struggling to fix the supply chain issues even after 2 years.

Is there any way we can escalate this or get some traction on our bookings? Any point of contacts or email ids ?

I am seriously thinking of considering other options in the market considering this frequent change of delivery dates.

Either you can mail to kharga(dot)asha(at)mahindra(dot)com or you can tweet directly to Mr. Anand Mahindra strongly conveying your feelings.

I got my vehicle delivered after 14 months in Jan this year. Having said that, there were real supply chain issues then. Still, an escalation through customer care with CC to Asha Kharga, is what moved things at the end.

I would agree with sommos. GO ahead and mail. BUt first speak to customer care. They will loop in the right folks at the dealership and then you can reply with above escalation points.

I also see that your booking is with India Garage. Unfortunately, that dealership is seen to be pretty lax. My booking was through IG PC road. Not a good experience).

Can we postpone the allotment without loosing seniority or if we postpone, would it be appended to the end of the queue? Does anyone have experience postponing XUV700 delivery dates successfully?
Took the plunge and accepted the allocation for AX7 L AWD D AT. Got home the beauty today. Lots of interest still alive for the vehicle as I got a few jealous glances and questions.
I was not allowed to do PDI before payment and negotiations didn’t help as this was allocation against cancellation and there was a bevy of buyers
waiting in line for the same variant/ colour . But did a PDI during handover and it was satisfactory. A very few scuff marks that were cleaned up and no swirl marks that I could see. Odo at a healthy 40 Km.
Here is to me hoping the good spirits extend limitlessly, touchwood

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

When I took the delivery of my AX7 P AT in January the car had 96km on the odo. When I did the PDI a week before taking the delivery it was showing 46km. Upon inquiring they said they conducted their own PDI during which a technician drove the car and this is normal for all new cars fitted with AdrenoX. Not sure what to make of it. Did anyone face the same?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi all,

Is the new infotainment update stable? I was thinking of taking my car to the service centre for minor tweaks and updating the system.
Fortunately, my CarPlay works flawlessly, with no disconnects or glitches (touch wood). I'm sceptical about updating the infotainment in case it breaks the CarPlay.

Do you guys feel this update has fixed your stability with CarPlay?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

The waiting periods are insane. Especially for the AX7 variants. I booked an AX5 D MT 7S on June 29 2023 and got an expected delivery timeline between 16-Aug-23 to 17-Sep-23. I was over the moon at such a short waiting period. But after some consultation with RavenAvi(our in house AX5 upgrades specialist) I switched my booking to AX7 D MT and now the new expected delivery timeline is an insane 7-Apr-24 to 8-May-24. Mind boggling!

I’m going to hold on to my booking as my dealer and SA Mr. Rajesh from CAI Industries, Coimbatore is responding promptly and the test drive experience was smooth as well. I’m expecting a bevy of cancellations as some people might switch to the new Kia Seltos.

I do not use CarPlay and have used the update for only a few hours now. So, not fully answering your question but some general observations.
  1. The UI is a lot faster now. The feeling that I had to touch hard is not there.
  2. Automatically start playing music in Android auto has started working now. Also, FM is not starting every time I start the car.
  3. Mappls is great with correct traffic updates, and overspeed warning. The accuracy of speed limits on BLR ORR is accurate to the meter at which the speed limit starts. It shows both the limit and your speed. Who would stick to a 30kmph limit on ORR is a different question! Speed bumps are mostly marked but, again, one wouldn't keep looking at the screen. Real-life view of intersections are helpful too. I do not foresee me using a lot of Android auto now.
  4. There is a bit of breaking of the music when Mappls starts.I think it is taking too much of resources.
  5. Navigation refuses to start without internet. A let down as compared to Google Maps especially when starting the drive from a basement parking,
  6. In the morning, after parking the car in a basement parking, GPS took a good 5-6 min to lock.
  7. The navigation in the instrument cluster took a while to show full information. It was originally showing only a blank map and turns. Yet to see if this is an initial sync issue.

My 0.02$ -

With M&M, do not fix something that is not broken. If you are happy with what you have in your car now, I wouldn't suggest changing/upgrading it. I am still on the same version when I bought the car in Mar 2022. It is working fine, and I don't see any need to change.

I.
It is only you I guess. You have to keep in touch with different dealerships. I got mine in 15 days. Just that I was looking for AX5 Diesel AT and had to accept 5 seater version. Booked at one dealership and bought from another dealer. I would raise hell on twitter and spam all sorts of people at Mahindra if they delayed my booking like that.
