Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi All,

Friend is holding a booking for XUV since past few months and with a lot of back & forth he is now being told a car can be allotted to him. However as he is going through car lease option he's now being asked to get a performa invoice with 20% cess instead of 22% cess. as per the sales advisor Mahindra has figured out some solution through which the revised cess % is not applicable to XUV.

The whole thing sounds shady but my friend is desperate to get the car as he can't wait anymore and is now wondering if he goes ahead will he face any issues in future.

For now I've asked to get this in writing and also get the VIN number.

has anyone here come across this recently.

Greetings for the day!

Just received a "Wiring Loom" Recall letter from Mahindra via email.
Has anyone else received such letter?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Anyone aware of this wiring loom recall?
Received this email first thing in the morning.
Is it something that needs to be done right away, or can it wait till time permits?

The email says that we should get the activity completed as soon as possible. I'm booking an appointment with the Service Centre for today itself.

Booked a visit for the upcoming Monday at Sireesh Auto Service Singasandra.

Anyone familiar with the Sireesh Auto escalation matrix?
Getting a response or status update from them is a constant pain.
For a next few days, the WYH app won't display even its name.

The service manager initially denied that there was a recall and that they were not aware of it.
When I insisted, he suggested calling the number to make an appointment, which he might have done as a courtesy to the customer in the first place.
This time, I became irritated by it.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi All -
I write to you seeking some advice.

I booked an XUV700 AX7 in August 2022 and was given a time frame of 21 Aug - 22 Sep 2023 for delivery. I booked it through Anant Cars, Marathahalli (Bangalore), and have been waiting for updates from the dealer.

Since then, the dealer has had 3-4 personnel who have changed (Each of my sales advisors has changed and so has the AGM!) and I have had to visit their showroom each time to find a new sales advisor because my previous one would have quit and was un-responsive.

Early August 2023, given the radio silence from the dealer (Anant Cars), I reached out over an email to the customer service team to get a view of the delivery date. That is when the "fun ride" started!
- The dealer's GM promised me a billing date of 9 August 2023 over email
- In a week, the dealer's AGM reached out and said it will be between 22 Aug - 21 Sep
- Then a day later, someone from the dealer's head office reached out saying the car is ready for delivery and to arranging funds
- Then when I followed up, they said the billing date will be 13 Sep 2023

It felt like being woken up and told that one was woken up to check whether one was asleep!

I have reached out to the customer care phone number, written to Asha Kharge (email ID from this forum), and even written to Anand Mahindra on Twitter - but to no avail and radio silence.

The buying customer experience has been a mess - For one, I had to wait for a year to get the car and for another, there is no clarity on the delivery date and no one knows! For such a brilliant product, Mahindra truly falls short on the experience and support.

I am almost at my wit's end and thinking of booking another car (Kodiaq or Tucson) even though it means 20-30% more expenditure.

Any advice from the esteemed forum members would be helpful!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Received the e-mail from M&M regarding the service action for potential wiring issue. My XUV 700 AX7 P AT is from the first batch, manufactured in Oct 2021. Checking if the NBS Service Centre at Sewri, Mumbai has an appointment available for early next week.

While at the service centre, also need to get the latest update installed.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I wonder why I never receive any such recall notifications on my mail from Mahindra. My car is from the earlier batch Nov 21 Manufactured so I guess my car might also be part of the recall but haven't received the mail as of yet. Is there any way to check on Mahindra's website? Thanks.
