3. Wireless charging is not the best, heats up the phone and if you are running android auto, will discharge faster than it charges
4. Blind view monitor is a really good feature
5. Keyless entry is a nice to have
6. Plus lot of other things are totally worth the price and wait.
7. Additional knee airbag too. Which is a big deal.
8. Smart door handles are really nice to have. You dont have to push the handles back in every time you open them

You do not have to do it in the mechanical variant too. It goes back in by itself when you leave the handle after opening the door. Of course, it may not work if someone who is unsure about the handle releases it too slow but always work for regular users. In fact, while I like the keyless entry of the L variant, I personally dislike the handles popping out when you unlock or switch off the car.

For the L variant it is 10.27.61.
10.27.62 is for non L variants.

Not true, all variants except the L have mechanical handles which DO NOT retract automatically and have to be pushed back.
Mahindra should not have kept this feature for the L pack, as per me, all variants should have auto retracting door handles (The real pain comes when you have to stop when u see a known person and want to let him in). Plus there should be some sort of illumination present as the handles are not visible in the dark.

It's true that other variants don't get electric door handles but if you pull the handle and leave it, it goes inside (mechanically, because of spring) and you need not push the handle inside manually everytime.

After updating to the latest version of adrenox i.e 10.27.62 and equivalent and also to IOS 17, overall carplay experience is stable and connectivity issues seems to be sorted.

On the AT AX7 L variant, Apple CarPlay is still not stable even after the update(10.27.61 version).
Both my friend and I have been experiencing this issue consistently on our (D AT AX7 L). I am using CarPlay with my iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 17.

In Mahindra, each car exhibits distinct behavior; some remain stable on specific versions, while others find stability on different ones. My experience with Mahindra has taught me that each car is inherently unique, and it's impossible to generalize that all cars will perform reliably with a single version of an update.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

XUV700 cancellation/ refund

I had booked two XUV700s last year (AX7L and AX7). One of those got allocated earlier this week, but I decided to cancel both. Have informed the SA and sent the email with all the details, but since then haven't got any acknowledgement SA is not answering phone calls either.

Looking for input getting the refund in a timely manner. Hope even this does not require tagging Anand Mahindra on Twitter.
Thanks in advance!

This is normal behaviour across dealerships. Once you cancel the booking, the SAs have no incentive to work. You have to keep trying and keep calling to get the booking cancelled. Go in this order:
1) Try to get it done over phone. Keep calling until someone answers. Usually getting in touch with the manager helps.
2) Contact Mahindra helpline and ask them to help.
3) Visit the showroom in person and sit there until cancellation is done and refund initiated.
4) Use social media handles as a last resort.

Normally by step 3 everything should be sorted.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Is everyone okay with the reverse video camera frame rate in the AX7? (Not AX7 L)? Or is it just me who feels that this is laggy.

For reference, I have a Grand Vitara and that has a much better reverse camera display output (doesn't feel laggy and smooth output like a 30-40fps video).

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello all,

Has anyone found a good sunshade for the XUV700? The ones from M&M aren't that good in my opinion. Has anyone tinted the windows to the legally accepted percentage? If yes, please share your experience and recommendation.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi, I faced a strange issue today: as I unlocked my car, all lights inside and the infotainment system came ON but the car didn’t start at all! Suddenly the roof lights etc started flickering dangerously.

I stepped out and tried to lock the car but the infotainment kept on playing and the car didn’t get locked either. After a while, the infotainment and all lights switched off but the car still wouldn't start or get locked. I called up Road Side Assistance and within an hour two mechanics came with a jump start battery pack.

I was now able to start the car and they told me that the battery was probably down (my car is just 8 months old)!! I was told to keep the car idling for 30 minutes and the battery would get charged; the mechanics left thereafter. I then took the car for a short ride but to my horror, there is negligible pick up in the car now and it doesn’t go beyond 35 kmph even when I press the throttle fully!!

Has anyone faced a similar issue?? Taking it to Mahindra service centre tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed!

Was facing the exact same issue , just get the software updated to the newest version it gets fixed. The framerate increases significantly.
