Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Looks like Mahindra has increased the price for Maximile Ultra v4 Engine oil 6L (EOVULTRA60) from Rs.2613.56/- to Rs.5907.00/- (both prices before GST 18%).

Can anyone confirm if this is the case?

I can see the latest price in MahindraForYou App Cost calculator. The previous price was from my last service invoice in Q3'23.

The cost for Maximile Ultra 6L during my recent 30,000 kms servicing was charged at 2,392.37/- plus 18% GST; total: 2,823/-

Thanks for the confirmation.

Shouldn't we be ideally filling Maximile Ultra v4 6L EOVULTRA60 instead of Maximile Ultra 6L EOULTRA60?

Mahindra4You app is showing incorrect cost for engine oil. i.e. The higher value - 5907/-

They gave 2-year subscription for the initial customers, later on, changed to 1-year validity.

Remember the looks, you'll never be mistaken.

Hello everyone,
I was playing some bass heavy music using android auto. All of a sudden the music soft with a soft thud from the speakers. Can you shed some light on the DTC codes that appeared?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

One year/10 K service done today at CAI automobiles, Coimbatore. No issues to report except a nagging rattle from somewhere on the left front side which they couldn't rectify. They impressed first up when I saw the service technicians using a proper torque wrench on the wheel lug nuts; swear this was the first time in my life I saw this tool in the hands of any ASS employee .Pretty good experience overall. Only fly in the ointment: Mahindra isn't training their SAs on the vehicle specs adequately. I had to inform them that the recommended engine oil was Maximile Ultra V4 (Shell), and not Maximile Ultra (Valvoline). The latter is to be used only if the recommended oil can't be procured for some reason, as per the Mahindra booklet again. All this was befuddling news to them, and both the SA & CRM appeared as if they've seen the booklet for the first time, going by the amused expressions they had while turning it over. The V4 being fully synthetic vs the other being semi synthetic was totally lost on them, and they insisted that since they've not demanded any V4 & Mahindra is supplying them with only Maximile Ultra by default, therefore it means that Mahindra is recommending it as the oil of choice. Also, the fact that they've used Maximile Ultra only on all the diesel XUV700's serviced with them so far without any complaints is apparently a testament to it. I gave up after banging my head against this logic for 10 minutes.
Can others chime in what engine oil they were provided with at the service? Anybody used (15W40 I beleive, it's not written on the can though) fully synthetic oil of any other make if they've been denied the V4 by the ASS?
Thanks!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Just had my rite of passage with XUV700 ownership with the first ever infotainment niggle on the second day of ownership

The Apple Carplay just stopped being responsive on the infotainment screen even though music continued playing. Navigation stopped, the CarPlay button got disabled but the music just continued playing! Stopped the car, switched it off and on again, and things started working again. I'm guessing there's going to be quite a few 'turning it off and on again' moments in this car.

During the 30K service of my vehicle, V4 was not available at the ASC. I had refused for the service and raised a complain with the CC. The ASC had arranged the V4 engine oil from nearby dealer within a day and the 30K service was done next day.

You can try raising the issue with the CC quoting your manual.

Same here. During my 10K service, I called up the service team and enquired about V4 ultra which incidentally they did not have. I told them to inform me when the new stock arrives and did the service then after.

I think the availability of V4 is still a question in places other than tire 1 & 2 cities. I had asked specifically for V4 in my 30k service and no one in the ASS was even heard of it. We have a group of 200 XUVs from Kerala and no one had ever experienced V4 yet !!!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

With the kind of product information the RMs have at Mahindra showroom, I have ben going through a range of confusions. The latest one being. Does the AX7 AT (not the L version, just the AX7 version), does it get auto hill hold and front parking camera features. Would be great if an owner of AX7 could confirm on this.

Most such minute queries that I have asked my RM have ended up being answered wrong. For example, he said that Napoli Black version gets black alloys and grill only in AX7L variant and not in AX7 variant, but that is not true.

Hence, trying to be doubly sure of these features i AX& versus AX7L variant. Thanks in advance for any help in this direction

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi all,

The sales advisor at mahindra informed me that the ADAS features on AX7 are the ones that are setup for ADAS Level 1 but AX7L comes with ADAS level 2 features.

For example, the sales advisor was insistent that the AX7 automatic variant does not come with Adaptive cruise control. But as per my knowledge, AX7 variant does come with Adaptive cruise control in the automatic variant. It just does not come with stop and go feature which is additionally found in AX7L variant. Please let me know if my understanding is right here.

The sales advisor mentioned that AX7 automatic variant just comes with regular cruise control and was pointing out the brochure. The brochure from mahindra is also confusing. The adaptive cruise control is mentioned just on the AX7L variant but the features section in mahindra website (https://auto.mahindra.com/suv/xuv700...tions-features) does indicate that AX7 automatic variant also comes with Adaptive cruise control.

I request owners to kindly confirm which is right? The brochure or the features section.

Also, I would like to know what other ADAS level 2 features that are exclusive to AX7 luxury variant but does not come in the AX7 automatic variant?

Request your kindly help on this one.

Thanks
