Not specific to XUV700, but you can find the details here (ARTICLE: Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) & Check List).

Have a quick question. I installed 70mai dashcam in my xuv700. Since the 12v slot was in the back of the car, had to install it using the usb cable slot in the front dash. I noticed that even when i switch off the car, the dashcam is still on. Is this the default behavior. I am worried about battery charge if the dashcam is constantly on. Good from security perspective since you will now have footage when when car is parked. But still worried about battery. Can anyone help with suggestions please?

Thanks
Go to settings in the 70mai app on your phone. There is an option to choose turn off duration after vehicle has stopped. It will allow running of the cam for around 5 minutes and then shut off (Thus preventing drawing power from battery). When you unlock vehicle and open the door and power resumes to the USB, the cam will get powered on.
It's a good feature in my opinion.

Hi, I've booked my XUV700 AWD Napoli Black a day after Ganesh Chaturthi (9th of September), the dealership didn't have AWD ready in stockyard. They assured me to get it within a month but I received a call that my XUV is on it's way to dealership's stockyard by 20th of September. I've done a self PDI in dealership on 24th of September (they stated that stockyard is far away from the city and there are risk of snakes there so they won't be taking me there) .
I checked VIN in all the places and my car was manufactured of September itself. I got it delivered by this Dusshera.

There were swirl marks and minor scratches on the delivery day which I think is due to dealership keeping the car on roadside outside dealership.

Attaching the partial VIN details of my XUV.

Has this been the observation of others too?
Yes, I have observed this too, more significant during the 1st start of the day. As the day progresses, the noise reduces. I have been told it’s because of auto hold.

1. Schedule a test drive from Mahindra website, it works.
2. We have a P AT since 6 months and driven around 5000 kms, there’s absolutely no issue with the car, it’s surreal to drive. Infotainment issues are still there.

Just note that diesel is likely to give far better mileage on highways as seen in couple of posts above. In city the difference between petrol and diesel mileage is not much. They are also priced very close. But petrol is going to remain more refined in the long run.

Here is the number for Shiva Automobiles Patparganj (8929806495). Since the booking isn't mine , we last talked regarding the same on this number .

Hi Ti22, I've recently purchased similar 3D floor mats from QPO for my XUV700 AXL AWD.
Can you help me with how you installed the mats in the 3rd row? I am facing issues while installing the mats in the 3rd row because the seat on the right doesn't pop up as does the left side of 2nd row.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

This is the error message that I got when I tried to invoke navigation. It says something about an invalid licence.
I thought Mapples is licenced to Mahindra and we are not required to pay separately for it. Anybody facing this?
I have not renewed my Adrenox licence which was due for renewal in June. Surely that can not be the reason.

I think it does pop up but from the lever on the side. There is no option to lower lit from the back (3rd row) directly

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Folks, week1 completed of ownership and done about 250km all within Bangalore city during the worst week of rains and jams. Overall all good so far and big step up from my XUV500. I am taking the longer route home from work just to enjoy the drive a bit more, whatever traffic allows .

Few niggles so far
  • Drive mode change button doesnt consistently bring up the zip/zap/zoom screen everytime. Some times its perfect and sometimes button press doesnt bring the the screen with options. Is it by design or an issue ?
  • Adrenox app is getting synced with data from the car but I am unable to get the remote connection work where I can control car features. Connection always times out, wondering if its poor reception in the car cause its usually in the basement.
  • I noticed this weekend some wetness under mats for middle row. Its been wet few weeks in Bangalore so either I got car delivered that way from the yard, or there is a leak from the sun roof. Dried the car over the weekend in sun, will keep a track of this if it rains again or 1st service. any inputs?

Yes 3rd row is a struggle for the right side, you can fold the bigger seat and then get better access to push 3d mat into the corner. Havnt figured a better way of doing it yet.

Navigation is part of the Adrenox system as per their brochure

This MAPPLS integration is getting bothersome for sure.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

In a bit of a dilemma.

XUV700 AX7L Diesel AWD at 28L (BH series) vs Jeep Compass Model S 4x4 at 32L (BH series). The Jeep might even be cheaper by a couple of lakhs if opting for MY23 model. This is MY24.
What would be a better buy at the given prices?

I am looking to keep the cars for the entirety of 10 years, and resale or slightly higher maintenance is not much of a concern.

Test drove both. Jeep seems more upmarket with overall better interiors. The XUV on the other hand is more spacious (even for 2nd row). We are a family of 4 so don't really need more than that.

The screen and buttons are not extremely fluid and reactive in my case as well. I've marked the Fun with XUV as favourite from the Rotary Knob and use it frequently.

The connection issue is always there irrespective of the car being in basement or on the roadside. It uses 4g network which is significantly slow to connect. It connects 1 out of 8-10 times I try. That being said, it is not slow in sending any kinds of alerts from the car, which I feel is more than enough for peace of mind.

So I finally I placed the mat correctly on the left side and then folded the mat as much as I can on the right side and pushed it in hard. It work and mat is successfully in place but I am not sure how convenient it will be if the mat gets dirty and I've to take them out for a wash.

No in the XUV700 only the left side of 2nd row seats can be popped up. The right side seats will just fold. I tried everything and researched online and all got same thing to say.

If you keep the car longer then you need reliability, good service network and longevity of the manufacturer in India. I didnt even goto Jeep for the above said reason plus I had already owned XUV500 for a decade and was ok with Mahindra brand overall.
