The IDV that I have selected is from the "recommended range" by Acko, so it's not an arbitrary value that I have entered myself. Acko recommends this range based on the car's model and age (they determine this by vehicle registration number), taking into account its market price and depreciation.

The minimum recommended IDV is Rs 22.1L with a premium of Rs 26k and the max recommended IDV is Rs 27.67L with a premium of Rs 32k. So the difference in premiums is not insignificant. Now honestly, I don't know what's the right IDV to go with. One factor that can be considered is the presence of accessories like PPF which increases the value of a car by a good amount, but my car doesn't have any expensive accessories or modifications.

Since I don't know what's the right IDV to go with, I don't mind selecting the max coverage possible. Personally, I'm okay paying Rs 5-6k extra. In the rarest of rare events that my car has a total loss, I would prefer that the insurance company put a lower value to my car rather than me lowering it myself by selecting a lower IDV

Would love to know from more experienced car owners here how they go about selecting this.

PA cover for self is mandatory, not for passenger or (non-owner) driver. Also, it's not mandatory to purchase this with Car Insurance itself. If you have this cover in your Health or Life Insurance, then there's no need to purchase it again with Car Insurance. I have this cover in my Life Insurance, so I'm not purchasing again with Car Insurance.

If PA cover is part of Car Insurance, then there might be a clause somewhere in the insurance document which says that coverage will be provided only if the accident occurs in the car that is covered by this insurance. If that's the case, then I guess the cover will be required in each car's insurance. But if no such clause is mentioned or if PA cover is present in your Life Insurance (where there's no mention of any car), then one insurance should cover accidents in all of the cars.

A person needs to have only single PA cover. While purchasing an insurance, we can chose to exclude PA cover if it is included in another insurance policy.

There a few ways you can do this when screen is on android auto.
- The infotainment control joystick near the gear level has a home button. If you long press that, it will take your to Mahindra screen
- There is also a star button which can be set as fav. You can set fav to any screen like climate control, audio setting etc. Just press it and it takes you to the part you use the most

Front Brake pads cost about INR 7300 & the rear will be ~8300.
I recently replaced both sets on my Black Panther (AX7L AT P)...at Odo 21k...Rear still had about 2mm left but didn't want to wait.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Looks like there is 30k discount on AX7 or AX7L Variants. Not sure from which date it is applicable.
This makes effective price increase on AX7 (L) going to be 20k compared to July-Oct offer.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Does the TPMS reading of the spare tyre show up on the display at the same time as the other 4 wheels.

It is not just a install TMPS to spare wheel task. It needs to be enabled with a visit to the service center along with a manual TPMS learning session. Right?

I just ordered the TPMS from boodomo 1805BW600221N
(along with a AWD badge 7992908B10 and Tail Gate sequential lights 1703AW600041N and 1703AW600031N )

Yes it needs to be enabled at the service station and learning process will have to be completed.
Even then, it will NOT show up in the display like the 5OO when not in use. Only if the tyre is changed at any time, will it show up.

Hi,I met a similar accident yesterday night hitting a wild boar. Can you please give me a rough idea how many days ASC took to get the car ready?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Auto start-stop kicks in when the car is stopped and gear is put in neutral. Left in this state for a few more minutes a warning pops up saying Adrenox running with the engine OFF and advises to restart the engine.

What kind of (stupid) warning is this ?
Is it a crime to do so ?
How does it matter anyway ?
If it should not be done, why auto start-stop is provided at all ?

I am happy to announce to the XUV700 brethren that I have joined this beautiful tribe as a 700 owner. During the week of November 18, the leasing company issued the Purchase Order to Sireesh Auto. I got a call immediately around 23rd November that the car is available as one of the customers who had booked decided to wait. The preferred Deep Forest color was also available. I immediately asked for the following details:

1. VIN Number - Confirmed that the vehicle manufacturing date was November and year 2024 along with other details
2. Photograph of the vehicle from the yard. The car looked fresh with the standard dust that gets accumulated
3. Total # of KMS driven - 25 kms when I picked up the car, I presume nearly 15 kms would have been to the RTO for registration.

I had prior alignment with Sireesh Auto that I will inspect the vehicle first and then sign on the papers. So on the auspicious day of 30 November, I went ahead and inspected the car and took delivery of my XUV700 AX7L D AWD

After a thorough PDI by me (will provide full information in my detailed review), the customary pooja during delivery, the car was rolled off the dealership.

One of the first things I did was to switch off ADAS features as I had wanted to read the manual first before I enable it. Also as I am getting used to another Mahindra, I decided I will take it slowly.

Accessories fitted from dealer:
1. Mudflaps
2. Scuff plates - Went for the sandblasted pattern, having a lighted one did not make sense for the price they were quoting
3. Protection film for the ICE screen.

I am still getting used to the vehicle and will post a detailed review once I cover some mileage with the car. Until then, here is a pic of the car.

I love the Forest Green shade and it is much different to the standard Blue, white or black shades as I thought it would stand out a bit from the crowd

Congratulations!
If I am not mistaken, this is the first Deep Forest XUV700 on team-bhp. Yet to see one real picture of Burnt Sienna color.

Please do share more pics. Also, share the picture and price of the scuff plates. Thanks

I have seen only 1 video surfacing on Youtube of XUV700 in Burnt Sienna shade.
I have seen 2-3 XUV700 in Deep Forest in Hyderabad roads, but yet to see one in Burnt Sienna.
I have seen Thar Roxx in Burnt Sienna couple of months back in-person twice. One in bright sunlight as well as one inside showroom in two different showrooms. Burnt Sienna color on Thar Roxx did not look that great to me.

@masudvorajee got his XUV700 in Deep Forest color sometime back. Here is the link to his post XUV700 deep forest (Mahindra XUV700 Review)

Thank you. I'm liking this Burnt Sienna shade. Not sure how it looks in real, but it photographs well

It will also show in the display if the tyre pressure goes below the normal range. Also, it auto learns if you replace one of the regular tyres with the new one.

I am yet to experience the first situation, but this is mentioned by @RavenAvi and @Abirnale in their thread.

Saw both colours during a recent visit to the ASC; must say that the Forest shade looks absolutely stunning in person; much more than the Burnt Sienna. Unfortunately forgot to click a pic since I was in a rush.

P.s. I still prefer my Everest White though
