I booked mine 3 weeks back and it’s showing delivery date of March to Apr 2023, so I’d say the website still is showing the delivery dates and track your order flow chart.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Any chance of Mahindra introducing the AX7 Luxury pack for the Petrol Manual transmission?

Specifically looking speakers, knee airbag and telescopic steering from the Luxury pack.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I had done an online booking for the AX7L AT AWD Midnight Black variant in March 2022 and was given a delivery timeline of January 2024.
Today when I checked the booking status online, it showed as 'Order under Planning' with the message that the vehicle is all set to go into production. The delivery timeline has also been updated to June 2023.

What does 'Order under Planning' really mean ?
For bhpians who have got delivery of the AWD variant, how long did it take from 'Order under Planning' to getting the car delivered ?
Is there any realistic possibility of the delivery happening in 2022 ?
The SA does not think it will be delivered this year but I don't think he has any info from Mahindra on this.

Same thing has happened with me. I booked AX7L AT AWD White in May 2022 and tentative delivery timeline was April 2024. Now it is updated to August 2023.

This could have also been due to Scorpio/Grand Vitara/HyRyder effect where due to long lead times, customers would have moved their bookings. Waiting for 1.5-2 years is just atrocious and I do not know why Mahindra would also take bookings beyond a certain waiting time. Lot of people are just parking money while they look for alternatives. Though small amount, customers are still shelling that without getting any interest.

Yes, this is one of the major factors for decreasing waiting period. I myself is seating with all three bookings of XUV700 AWD, Grand Vitara AWD and Scrpio N AWD. Till last week I had two bookings of XUV700 and cancelled one

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Today when I checked the status of my booking, I can see the delivery date being pushed by one month. When I initially booked, the delivery timeline was Dec 5th to Jan 5th, later when the status changed to Order under planning, the delivery date moved significantly to Sep 15th to 27th. This caused a lot of excitement within me as I have been waiting for a long time for this car, and now when I see so many 700s on the road, the curiosity just keeps increasing. But today when I looked at the status again, it says October end.

Not sure what is the reason for the delivery dates to move up and down multiple times, causing unnecessary excitement and disappointments.

The SA does not have any updates even after multiple follow-ups. The says the update is the same as always.

How do I address this concern and how fast can I expect the delivery of this beast?

While I do understand there are many people in this forum who have booked earlier than me and are still awaiting their deliveries, I am just getting anxious day by day. Also I have read the news that Toyota has stopped taking bookings of Innova Diesel, which leaves very little competition for the 700.

Booking date Nov 26th, AX5 D Silver.

Every month, the dealership gets an update file with modified delivery dates and these are more dynamic vs. the static updates we find online. Ideally, your SA should have this visibility and he can update on monthly basis. If its not happening, talk to some higher ups in the dealership - or even the CRM manager. They will give you this visibility and also push SA to be more proactive in updates.

Typically, the 8th of every month, my SA provides me an update on my CPD (Customer Promised Date). My booking for AX7L D AT Midnight black, booked in Dec'21, has been progressively advancing. My latest CPD is Jan'23 (From the initial Aug'23).

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Finally managed a long drive from Chennai-Thanjavur-Chennai on the Independence day weekend and I could get a mileage of 13 kmph tank to tank from my AX5 MT Petrol. Before this, 10 kmph was the best I could get. May be the engine run-in has helped with the improved mileage

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

There's always a first time. Finally it was my turn to face the Mahindra glitches.

In the middle of nowhere on a state highway, my AX5 Diesel Manual suddenly lost power, engine shut down and 'Check Engine System' message flashed on the MID. It was around 7 PM and we were still about 90 KMs away from Chandigarh. The odo was at ~1050 KMs when this happened. I turned the key all the way to 'off' and then switched on again, the engine woke up to life, and did not face any issues during the drive back home. Don't know what happened but it's been 2 days, have used the car for short city runs post that but no issues since.

Will be going for the first service this weekend and shall report the issue to figure out what happened and why it happened.

Mahindra needs to fix these issues. Its not a good experience when your new car leaves you stranded on the road.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Just got a SMS from Mahindra (website has been updated too) that my AX7L P AT (booking on April 20) with an initial delivery date of Feb 2024 is planned to go into production.
The website is updated with a revised date of July 2023.
Could I expect the delivery now to be in approximate 8 weeks or so i.e. mid October? Can someone advise pls?

Additionally, how is Mahindra when it comes to exchange value of the car?

There is no definitive answer to the delivery timeline. You may get it in 8 weeks or even within a week. Even my booking changed to order in planning but the delivery date has been moving back and forth. As suggested by fellow members, I think the SA will be the best person to give you real-time updates.

Thanks for this info, he regularly forwards me one small piece of information which has the delivery timeline towards the end of the year. May be a email to the CRM is going to be my next move so that I get some realistic timeline.
