You perfectly summed up. I watched last 2 episodes in 1.25X. Had high expectation from Raj & DK.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has been a good series on Prime Video for the past 4 seasons. However, this final Season 5 is turning out to be quite a damp squib. Seems to be all over the place, just not as gripping as it used to be. A little listless, tbh.

I believe you're referring to the current season which is Season 4 and the finale season.

Yes, they're trying to milk the cow to the last drop and the storyline although concurrent is trying to cater multiple aspects in one.

Apologies, I stand corrected. Yes, Season 4 is the Final Season.

Any Star Wars fan here? I am about to watch 3rd episode of AHSOKA. I loved the first two episodes, especially because I had watched the Star Wars Rebels animation series. Ashoka starts from where the animated series ended. Very excited to see Live action versions of Ezra and admiral Thrawn

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Got 3 months subscription of Apple TV free with purchase of my iPhone. Binged on 'Tehran' which is a well paced thriller set in Iran with the central character being a Mossad Agent. The show keeps you engaged throughout & is a good watch. Will browse through this thread again & check which other shows on Apple TV are a must watch!

Also finished Season 2 of Made in Heaven on Prime. Overall its a decent watch.

The Blacklist- I've been watching this since the first season aired way back in 2013. While it has been a pleasure watching Raymond Reddington enthrall the audience with his antics over 10 seasons, I was highly disappointed with the way they ended things. Especially since they left a key plot twist unanswered and it has been confirmed that Season 10 would be the last one of the series.

Watched Scam 2003 (Telgi, stamp paper scam), the first two episodes, and the reaction isn't that great. Will watch the full series and post a review. How did everyone find it?

On the 4th Episode now and quite frankly it's no match to the Harshad Mehta series. They have rushed upon on all the aspects in 2003 series and doesn't feel engaging as such.

With last episode to go, let's see how it fairs!

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

I also found few similarities between the two Scam series like the way one character is muttering 'darling', among other things. Some very lazy writing there. Also on characterization, they have shown him to be a good apple gone bad, which surprised me.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Agreed with BHPians that Scam 2003 isn't a patch on Scam 1992. The latter was a straight 5 / 5 rating show.

That being said, it is still enjoyable as a one-time watch. The 1st episode and half of the 2nd are quite meh. But by the end of the 2nd, the story-telling improves, while Gagan Dev Riar (who plays the role of Telgi) grows on you. He's actually acted very well, very convincingly.

Stick with the show. Gets enjoyable from the 3rd episode onward. Will give the show overall a 3.75 / 5 star rating.

Ray Stevenson as Baylan is just unreal! Pity he passed away recently. What a great actor. The entire cast is fantastic infact!

Also Thrawn looks uncannily like elon!

Hope Dave is allowed to fix the crappy last three movies Disney made and get rid of them from cannon.

Billions Series 7

Frankly- its boring, am watching only to see where it goes, I think it will get more interesting once Damien Lewis kicks in!

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Scam 2003 - 2.5/5

With the high benchmark set by its predecessor, I had high hopes but was disappointed. The screenplay and the narration are weak in this one. One feels like rushing through in the first few episodes and skimming through the later ones. Maybe the actual story of Telgi isn't as colorful as Mehta. I am not waiting for the remaining episodes.

Jengaburu curse - 3.5/5

I was expecting it to be a docu-serial but it is a fictional thriller. Good actors and acting, some fine locations and a tight story. The story does drag in bits and the dubbing is not upto the mark (using Hindi and Odia in the same sentence?). Overall a good watch.
