Then they take you to priority security check via buggy. Then if you want to go to lounge (or have taken the lounge one), they will drop you to the lounge. The porter will then go and wait at the gate for boarding to start and once it starts, will come and get you to drop you off at the gate (via buggy). You get this for 8 max persons in a year. So if you are traveling as family of 4, 4 out of 8 will be used up or you can use it for yourself 8 times while traveling.
Can this be utilized by the addon card holders,When primary cardholders not travelling

Which airport has these rates?!

The Meet & Greet at Mumbai airport (for international departure) is 5500+tax. And this includes only expedited check-in and immigration. If you want lounge access and a buggy ride, it is ~14k.

I'd enquired when travelling out of India a year back, when Covid norms were relaxed and airports saw huge queues for all formalities. Was quoted 25k for a family for four adults and a kid at Mumbai airport.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Surprise to see these messages about Magnus. My thoughts against the issues / unhappiness which the users are expressing.

P.S. - Do consider the aspect that I am posting some of the comments based on experiences of 100s of Magnus card users being somebody who talks / shares about Credit Cards on Social Media and has a decent followership. No intention to prove anybody right or wrong.

2. They round up your points because of which you loose anywhere between 5-46% - if the transaction amount is low) of points. Example: If you spend INR 372, (per INR 200, 12 points) you should get 22 points but you will get 12 points only. This amount adds up when you make large number of transactions.

Overall, I have lost around 844 points this month because of 1 and 2. Reason 2 is minor but because of 1 I have lost out a lot. As per my calculation I should have got 3,2XX points but they have credited only 2,4XX points.

So much for a premium card.

P.S: Will share an update if they show up at a later date.
1. Axis Systems are messed up. I avoided the temptation of getting into Axis Cards for this same reason till the day they announced their Airmiles Transfer Partners for their Credit Cards. That day changed the Indian Credit Card Scenes. Axis Magnus dislodged the might HDFC Infinia from the top spot in Indian Credit Cards.

Why am I mentioning this? Even Axis did not expect the kind of response Axis Magnus and other Axis Cards got. Axis is where HDFC was 4 years back when it comes to Credit Cards Reward Points tracking and posting. All I can say is that they are getting better.

And this competition has ensured that HDFC wakes up from its slumber with HDFC expected to bring in new Airmiles Partners.

2. Round-Off is the case with every Reward Points earning card. Just the impact of the Round-Off is different across cards. Even on SCB Ultimate from 1 to 14 Rs., it is round down. So people lose here too. What people are not taking into account is that SCB Ultimate is nowhere as rewarding as HDFC Infinia or Axis Magnus if travel redemptions is your priority. If travel redemptions is not the priority then best to switch to SBI Cashback card.

My Two Cents - You are looking at probably the highest rewarding card globally when it comes to Airmiles. Focus on the 1 Lac Milestone instead of rewards not being received on certain differential amount on every transaction.

Also does anyone know how and when do the bonus 25k rewards points credited ? I've got my first statement and spent about 200k in the first month, yet to see these being reflected in my Traveledge portal. That that the Traveledge ortal itself isn't working is a different issue.
The 25K Bonus comes after 90 days. I have received it for two months till now and they are within the time-frame.

SBI cashback and SC Ultimate are my main stay now. They credit the points and cashback within a day or two and are very easy to follow.
Banks arent charity houses. They too need to protect their interest. Similar T&Cs are on HDFC Smartbuy, Amex Reward Multiplier, Citibank Referral etc etc.

If you are in this game from a long term perspective, these TATs shouldn't matter much, specially when its about Airmiles accumulation. Airmiles accumulation is a game of Patience. You accumulate points for 12-18 months to redeem for a major travel goal.

I don't think so. In the axis bank portal, it defaults to the cardholder as the first person and only gives you the option to add additional guests. The service also needs to be booked 48 hours in advance.

In Bangalore, it is 2700+ tax for domestic departure. I am not sure if it is per person or for two, but this was the rate quoted when I dropped my mom and aunt off at the airport last week. They only opted for the porter service wherein one is escorted up to security. This costs 300 for up to 3 bags. The buggy ride from the drop-off point to the departure entry was free.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Just hopped on to AXIS MAGNUS in addition to already having INFINIA and ROYALE Kotak

I will get rid off the ROYALE and move to a mix of AXIS & INFINIA

Axis - Meet & greet - I utilized this last week while travelling to Italy. I booked for 1 and he quickly met me escorted me via the VIP Gate amidst a mad rush outside at least 20 - 30 minutes for entering the IGI due to crazy rush given the red eye flight and those times are pretty heavy.

I was Business class so obviously went to the business desk.

Immigration was done quickly at the G20 counter as it was empty and secutiry for me as well as a few friends done via the VIP checkpost.

Post this I told him to meet me 30 minutes before boarding and he duly did and took a buggy for me and my friends - no questions or anything.

Tipped him handsomely.

So as long as you book for 1 he will gladly include more if required all depending on the mood and your wit. Just my two cents so if anyone is travelling with family as long as you do not quote there they are ok with it. One can tip right at the start and there will be no obstacles most of the time.

As far as the card and its points goes I am yet to utilize the benefits and will refer to this forum in case I need any help.

I wish to get an AMEX soon however my city is not listed and I am trying to find a way around it.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Happily hopped onto the Magnus bandwagon. Was a fairly quick process too. Are there any noob friendly steps to get started with the card? Portals to get accelerated rewards and such? Thanks in advance!

Hi Tejas, thanks for clarifying a lot of doubts about magnus. I've a follow up question on the rent payment on INFINIA. I read that from Jan'23 rent payments will not receive points. However, I saw usual reward points credit in my recent statement for the Jan rent payment. I am wondering if this is an error? I've been using redgiraffe. Is redgirrafe rent payments exempt from this rule?

As per Axis bank customer support (Who themselves are a bunch of confused people), the T&Cs have changed and its applicable from 1st Month itself.

Now I would never take the word of Customer Support over Bank Website's T&Cs. However, almost everybody who got the card in September & October 2022, got the bonus points in December 2022 & January 2023 respectively. And I am talking about 100s of people.

I believe Redgiraffe payment is always categorised as Insurance. Please check your statement whether it is marked as rent or insurance.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Just received a mail from RBL Bank stating that the complimentary Zomato Pro subscription is getting discontinued for the Zomato Edition Classic credit card in a month's time.

They're offering a three month free Zomato Gold subscription, but this is a bummer considering that the card was advertised by offering a complimentary Zomato Pro subscription as long as one has the card.
