Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Rs.2990.00 ( 30+ applications )

Zaino Bucket (Complete with lid & Grit Guard ): Rs.3600.00
Thanks SUN for the information. According to my interpretation Z8 would suit better on dark colored cars, like black of mine. But Rs. 2990 is way too expensive. Could get 2 Opti-Seal for the same price.
One thing that astonishes me is the cost of the bucket with lid and grit gaurd Rs. 3600, thats one expensive bucket, IMO.
SUN if you purchase any of the sealant do put up your thoughts & review on this thread.

Do all of the above in shade of your garage or building!
Thanks Sohail. Any idea on the best sealant one can buy right now ? i want it to last really long. At least 2-3 months. I wash my car like twice in a week with car shampoo so i need the wax / sealant to be very durable.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

For Sealant you could use the Motomax paint sealant. I use that, topped with a layer of Collinite 845. It has been two months since I did this and the car still shines like the day I did this.

I had to go for a car wash on Friday (forced) at Balaji Car wash on Nagar road. The idiot used Wheel active soap powder

The best part is my car still beads water and shines!

The Motomax sealant (99 bucks) is dirt cheap for the quality and look it offers.

A great sealant for 99/- wow. BTW why did you apply Collinite 845 over the motomax. I thought Collinite itself is a sealant.

Guys I have another question, I am running short of clay lubricant. The mothers clay that I got has 2 bars of clay and one bottle of lubricant. I tried using car shampoo diluted with water but that didn't work, the clay became brittle and broke into small pieces. Any substitute I can find for this lubricant?

You can use any quick detailer with clay! Optimum no rinse is a great multi functional product that you can use in clay lubricant dilution!

And yea, from what most vendor websites say, collinite 845 is a hybrid wax(contains both syn. polymers as well as carnauba)

I can see that the distributor/ company is based in Surat.
Did you source the sealant in Pune? Where in Pune?

Edit: Found contact information from their website http://motomax.in/talk_to_us.html

The reason I used the Coll845 over the sealant - I was just obsessed!

I had picked this up when they had held a one day show at our society.

However I have the number for the sales officer as he gave me his card.

Name: Kishor More
Mobile - 9860355033

You could reference our society, Konark Campus, Viman Nagar, Pune

@SUN - I believe you also are in Viman Nagar. If you want to try out the sealant, why dont you drop home sometime!

Even better: Use running water using a hose & pressure washer (used sensibly).

Using running water to hose down a car is a criminal waste of water, unless you are using a pressure washer, which will cut down the use. Irrespective a typical hose wash will use more than 75 litres of water, whereas a bucket wash (2 bucket technique) will use around 25-28 litres.

torquecurve, I searched Motomax website but their is no mention of sealant in Exteriors section.
The products listed in exteriors section are:
  • Hard Wax Polish
  • 2K rubbing compound
  • Liquid rubbing compound
  • Lightweight polyester putty
  • Motomax creame polish
  • Premium liquid polish
  • Car Shampoo
  • High gloss polish
  • Tyre cleaner
  • Silicon liquid polish
  • Bumper black

On a side note, Motomax is a brand from Pidilite. So we expect quality stuff.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Anyone has experience with dishwashing liquid? I need to know the best locally available product. I need to test a paint sealant which claims to be resistant to its wash.

My theory is if the claim is true, then I think the dust collection on my car will reduce dramatically. Oily fumes from diesel operated cars and the fried food oily particulates in the air, we indians eat, will be easily washed.

I need inputs from those who have practically tried various brands.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

^ I haven't understood your post.
Do you want to try something on a small section of the car after applying the sealant?

A good dishwashing liquid is Pril. A few drops are enough to clean oily utensils.

BTW: How do the oily fried food fumes get onto you car?
I thought it was only during rainy season that leaked oil on road gets mixed with water and then splashed on our cars while traveling, but your experience may be different.
