Evereything looks good Nair. What is a tyre valve camel?

I am getting the same OEM scuff plate. Do you know why one is longer than the other? The sales guy did not have a good explanation.

see picture no.3 tyre valve(nozzle) cover.

Scuff plate on rear side always small.People sitting behind are always in upright position and they can easly come out without making much scratch to the door plate paint, whereas in the front side, it will have some difficulty to get out of the seat may be because of the positon and tend to get more scratches hence given more coverage in front door plates.
I presume this may be the reason

Nairrk, how much did the alloys cost you? I have a 1.4 Sxi (2008), planning the alloy upgrade.

Thanks

See Picture no.3, Tyre air valve cap.
To match the alloys, they put the steel cap (didnt ask me anway)
but eventually I had to pay rs.400 for 4 caps

Thanks

No, they packed the stock steel wheels ( the same pack on which
they have recieved the alloys from ford chennai) and simply kept in the boot (also the stock wheelcover). I found this only today morning when I opened the boot to clean

I too was in a similar boat. When I posted a query on this forum, I was told that I could donate them to someone.

Luckily, the accessories shop near my house found a customer within a year, and I sold 4 steel rims for Rs 1200---btw, they were brand new, as I'd changed to alloys in the showroom itself on the date of delivery.

Ok; i missed that one. So, you got the alloys from the showroom/dealer; they are not going to buy the steel wheels back.

I think if you buy an after market one, they will buy the stell wheels back. DOn't they?!

Today is holiday for them (by-election).
I will talk to the dealer on monday and find out if they can take back the steel wheels (I personally feel, they will not -otherwise they would have notified this matter yesterday itself when I took the car from them. Even they didnt inform me that the stock wheels are kept in the boot).
Thanks
