@nair sir
After seeing your door handles pads transformed to chrome, I was itching to do the same for my ZXi door handles too. When I asked the accessory guys at Wasan Ford Thane, I was told that it was a part of the ornamental kit costing 5.5K. I told him about your change and insisted that there should be a seperate set of 4 replacable chrome door handles pads. Can you help me with the part no or some reference. I am sure you must have brought it from Ford dealer.

I think your dealer is trying to fool you.

I just shown the photograph to my dealer (originaly it was taken from @kumar7's thread who is the one first found about this and got changed into his ZXi), who then immediately did confirm the availability with Ford (Chennai). They got it within one week time and last sunday the guy came home and fitted this (just 5 minutes job-even we can do the fixing).
Total cost is Rs.1000 including the tax (kumar7 paid Rs.1033/- may some difference in tax).

Just show this picture to your dealer and tell them that you only want this and not the full kit (believe kumar7 arranged this through Ford Store).

Try and see how your dealer behaves.

So far good. I have kept almost 15/16 CD's (devotional songs on one side and film songs on the second flip (you can store 20 CD's). I dont know if the CD's get damaged soon or not (if the car is kept under sun all the time), however because of this my glove box is free and I can keep other important things in it!

The quality seems okay (Nylon material) and you get in beige colour also.
Suggest you browse to ebay.in and will see many sellers of this product.

If you have any doubt about the product you can ask clarification from the seller either by sending a email to them or talk to them?.

Ruchir, CASE LOGIC is a good brand, dealing with all kinds of pouches/covers for cameras, camcorders, various travel related pouches. Have seen this physically in LANDMARK shop in Spencer's Plaza/Chennai. You can safely buy this. However, please beware..confirm with eBay seller that it is indeed CASELOGIC brand, becos sometimes they show the picture of one brand and ship whatever stock is available with them.

You can also browse www.caselogic.com and I think online ordering is also possible (or at least you can compare the pricing with ebay)

Whenever you buy any item through ebay, remember that first you see the product and satisfied that it is the one you ordered it. Confirm reciept to ebay only after this.
If any problem, you can complain to ebay and your money will be refunded (if they are satisfied that the seller is at fault).

1st Service

My Black beauty was gone yesterday for her first service.

Dealer (workshop) sent their man to pick the car from my home
in the morning and then returned it in the evening, after the service.

Total Run so far 2460kms

There was no complaint at all from my side, so they have to do the usual
cleaning/washing and all check up as per the service manual.

Totally a FREE Service and no payment at all.

Now, time to go for couple of long drive !

Have you ever left the car in scorching heat after keeping the CD's in the case? I had kept a plastic card (toll card) at the same place and it got completely disfigured after few times the car left in sun!

I feel it will have the same impact on the CDs as well as the top of the car really heats up much more than glove compartment.
