Well I'm afraid it isnt- I was told then that the owner eventually refused to part with it!

Finally found time and inclination to post the latest pics. of my pennant!

As I said, we were set back by about an hour yesterday in bringing the car home. Reason- a malfunctioning fuel pump! And like the engine head this problem too cropped up as we were all set to leave!

However my mech. refused to give in this time and was set on taking her home come what may! So luckily we were able to take out the fuel pump fitted to my 62 herald also in the same garage awaiting resto. It wasnt terribly better but did work atleast in taking the car home! : Phewwww:

And here she is home sweet home, as taken today!

'planning to put a tarp over her as I'm going out of town tomorrow for 2 days.
Also some minor issues have cropped up- 'finding the bonnet difficult to shut properly, something wrong with the spring clamp I guess. Plus the glovebox lid lock/push button has been acting up again! He's taken it out completely to set the levers right again.

However I've also half a mind to fix this non-locking push button on an Austin Cambridge dash I have lying with me at home (currently up on our dining hall cabinet as a showpiece! ) as it appears to be identical to the one on the pennant. IMHO it even looks better than the locking type button.

Congratulations on finally getting her home. She does indeed look very smart. So hows the Herald progressing?

Shyam, looks really beautiful. Has that kind of period look to it. Would like to know the reactions of the onlookers as you drove by. Am sure not many people would have even seen one of these in their lifetime.

Shyam, she looks totally smashing man ! That period colour scheme, the period sunvisor, all add up. All your efforts have borne fruit. Congratulations on a lovely job. Do post reactions of people as you drive her around !!

Aah, lovely car! In real good shape (considering that its a Hyderabadi car afterall! )
One of the best mk3 heralds Ive seen! All original barring the hubcaps- the ones on this are supposed to be the "dimpled" types like the Gazel hubcaps, these were fitted to UK heralds as standard/OE:

Note: DO ask him by all means if he could source us 4 whitewalls like he did for his car!!

I have a user manual for a Triumph Herald 1250. Attached are pictures of a few sheets from the manual. Let me know if anybody wants a scanned copy, I can get that to you when I have enough patience
