You're right. And thats exactly why 5/6ch amps are great. No wiring mess, no distribution blocks and the usually take lesser space than two separate amps. Just like this one:

@gunbir: Thanks. That's what I'm talking about. Sam too mentioned Alpine.

What's those two orangey-reddy-yellowy thingies on the right of it though? It's already looking USS Enterprise Bridgeish with the Klingons attacking... Or is that two of the aforementioned three Bathenas?

Those are crossovers for components.

@Elf. Ekjaaklee! But like women, They're heavy on toll.
If you don't worry to shoot those green stuff from the pocket, then a 5/6 channel amp is well available next door. The cheapest one these days starts above 25k I think. Pm Gunman, his lineup has some amazing pieces which pours out from 5/6 channels.
You can also try one of those Dawood's followers for a cheap grey/black thingy.

Whatever it is, we'll enjoy seeing you ICE up your car.

How about this one? Look simple enough?

Like Alpine, almost all amp manufacturers now have 5/6 amps, be it the regulars (Kenwood, Pioneer etc) or the exotic.

@Elf, I'd second the 5-6 channel amps too. Are you particular about driving your front and rear speakers? If you're not, you can very well go in for a 4 ch or 3 ch amp (both will be smaller than 5-6 ch amps) and drive your front speakers and the sub, leaving the rear speakers to be run off the HU.

And how much were you planning on spending? :-)

Elf we are in the same city. You can see my car anytime. It has a resonably discrete subwoofer location. I can still fit 2 32" bags, 2 20" carry on roll-on roll of bags and my duty free bags in the trunk. Granted the Octavia has a large trunk.

Elf also remember that a 5-6 channel amp is about 50% larger than a 4 ch. amp (all other things remaining the same - same class of amplification, make, etc..). 5-6 channel amps USP is a simpler Install.

Fusion components? Or is it Focal?

I would consider a Pio 6100 at 7K and use the 3K left over to upgrade your cables.

Use the 6100 for the fronts (bridged), use the sony to drive the sub (2 channels bridged) and the rears.

Like Dapic?

Does that 450 (pic above) have a home? A little bird told me it was looking for one.

Navinji that 450 isnt the one you're refering to... they're indeed very nice amps. Driven had a few used 4ch versions of the same series. They went very cheap (read: less than half the retail).

Yes the 450 is in fact the 5ch. You're right. I just meant the one in the pic isnt the one you were refering to.
