You can use the inbuilt 16gb memory for it.

Do anyone know what are the settings for Uninor GPRS in Nexus S. I discussed with the customercare for more than an hour, but they are clueless. Any one else facing the same issues.

re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Just a Quick update. I fitted the SGS2 dock kit in the car today. There is no vibration or jerky movement of the phone in the Dock. Also the issue reported earlier of the voice prompt asking for commands when the car was in motion didn't happen, it got activated only when i say "Hi Galaxy"...

2 issues or questions that i need you feedback on

1. Why does the SGS2 voice command (I guess thats Google Voice thingy) need a data connection. I mean why for voice calls or sms?

2. If the SGS2 is in the dock and i need to take/make a call, I was forced to use the speaker of the phone (which was not too loud when mounted on the windshield away from me). I tried plugging in the AUX cable (From the stock Punto Blaupunkt HU) but the "Voice" was not passed to the car speakers (as it happened in the nokia's). Only other option I see is to use a Bluetooth Headset or get a better HU for integration. Can anyone suggest anything better?

Looking forward to your replies.

re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Are there any possibilities of 2.3 upgrade on Galaxy SL...I've finally decided on this phone or should I get the LG Optimus Black...I'm not really too keen on LG and many reviews claim that the phone is a bit laggy

try, with those settings in place, to switch to "GSM only".

@dkaile:Youre sure about APN:uninor?
Airtel takes it in this format : airtelgprs.com

That one setting is all airtel asks for, apparently..

Sorry but I'm a little confused. First I go to the page of the phone I want which in my case will be

Buy Samsung Google Nexus S (Black) at Best Price in India - Also find Specifications, Photos, Features & Reviews

Then I click on buy now and this page appears

Buy Samsung Google Nexus S (Black) at Best Price in India - Also find Specifications, Photos, Features & Reviews

I enter the quantity (in my case 1).

Now the following questions:
1. Where do I get the code from?
2. Where do I enter it?

Where do I find switch to GSM only??

by the way I am not running stock. I have rooted it and have CM7.0.3. It works absolutely fine with Idea. So I am sure the problem is in the settings only

After you click buy, you have to type the code in the text box and apply it.

You can use the Code ICICILB for Rs 1200 discount or if someone can share the coupons you can use it. I have exhausted all the 10 coupons that I had

Regards

I'd assume it would be under settings>wireless&networksmobile networks>network mode.
Thats how its on my stock x10.
Layout may different for you, but i suppose the basic headers would be the same.

re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Installed my first ROM on the Desire S, Virtuous Unity which is based on the sensation ROM and has sense 3.0. I am loving it.

Just had a question, do all market apps directly get installed on the phone memory? When I restored my apps using Titanium, everything got installed on the phone memory.

dkaile, would you please provide me the GPRS settings for BSNL connection? I use LG Optimus One P500

PS: I had interacted with the BSNL customer multiple times. They states that GPRS settings are not available for my phone.
