I am interested in this question as well, Made online booking on the day bookings opened and still waiting for word. SA said it will take around 3 months, but nothing more.

well it really depends on the variant that you are going for. Top variants have fairly less number of must have accessories. Ofcourse mats is a necessity.

5D/7D are quite good and competitively priced as well. I dont really like the fully covered option of these mats. I really like the hexagonal designed carpet mats. 3d mats I also found to be quite thin and subpar quality.

I was given a verbal assurance that my GTX+ D AT will be delivered by Mid November. When I checked last week. They will start production of these models only by early/ Mid October is the reason given for delay

Re: The Kia Seltos SUV (SP Concept). EDIT : Launched at Rs. 9.69 lakhs

Kia Ceed 1.4L Petrol with 138 bhp has been reviewed by Autoexpress(UK). Link to their review:
https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/kia/xceed/engines

Excerpts:
The 1.4-litre petrol is expected to be the biggest seller and it’s this version that we’ve spent the most time with. The engine provides adequate performance but doesn’t feel fantastic under larger throttle inputs, sounding strained in its upper registers. 0-60mph (Kia doesn’t quote 0-62mph times) takes 9.1 seconds with the manual gearbox or 9.2 with the automatic; top speed is 124mph.

The 1.4-litre returns 40.4 to 42.8mpg depending on wheel and gearbox options. CO2 emissions range from 140g/km for the entry-level petrol on its smallest wheels to 159g/km in the automatic 1.4-litre car.

Decent performance IMO, but nothing special about it.

Thanks for the link. It is a very short review though.
They have rated "Engines, performance and drive" as 4/5 which I would consider as very good. But, this is for a different Kia altogether but the performance should be similar. The 0-100 performance of the Selto 1.5 tubo petrol is around 9.5 secs which probably makes it the fastest SUV/crossover up to 30 lakhs, if I am correct. I am not sure what categorizes as "special" considering the segment and the price.

Well after the Aspire Diesel 9.5 second is not a big deal to me. Yes there's a secluded stretch where I get the car recall all 100 horses (occasionally) & don't think the performance has gone down at 77k Kms.
Then there cash (for horses) involved as well. I understand interiors of this car are way better than mine, & it's true competitors will be priced even higher. Yet the novelty of interiors will fade away soon & then one will go back to occasional 0-100 runs to satiate urges.

Re: The Kia Seltos SUV (SP Concept). EDIT : Launched at Rs. 9.69 lakhs

Can anyone please confirm whether Kia is offering Alloy wheels as an optional accessory for lower two variants (HTE & HTK)? I asked Shri Motors Kia-Indore, they had no such information.

I wanted to avoid the hassle of taking the car to the alloy dealer. Instead I was thinking to get the job done at the showroom itself. Any information on it would be truly appreciated.

Re: The Kia Seltos SUV (SP Concept). EDIT : Launched at Rs. 9.69 lakhs

Hey guys,

I picked up my HTX+ D AT on the 12th of September. I've done about 1100 KMs on it till now out of which about 500km has been on the highway. I absolutely love the way the car handles our Indian roads. No niggles or issues till now. I was skeptical about taking delivery of a car from the first batch of production but I'm glad that I listened to my heart and went for it.
For people curious about the milage, It's giving me about 12.5 kmpl in the City (south Delhi mostly) and it gave an overall milage of 15.1 kmpl on my trip to Jaipur.

Get your dealer to order them as parts. It might take several months to obtain them though as the accessories SA at my dealer says the alloys are imported and not manufactured here. His back orders placed last month for 4 customers are yet to be received.

Within braces are approximate costs, where it is known.
> Ice-cube LED fog lamps
> LED Interior lamps
> 16-inch alloys (8k/wheel+centre cap)
> 17-inch alloys; both hyper-metallic and crystal-cut
> OE black paint for a 2-tone roof (17k)
> Parcel shelf kit (11k)

Congratulations buddy! I am also picking up the car on 29th, even though it has been sitting with the dealer since a week now. Don't ask Wifey's orders!

And what a coincidence, that I will also be taking it almost immediately on a long highway drive to Ranthambore and Jaipur So I am also going to have the car go past 1000 km by the 6th October.

Please do a small review of things that you like and do not like about the car (if there are any!). Also it would be great to get some pictures going. Thanks in advance.

Re: The Kia Seltos SUV (SP Concept). EDIT : Launched at Rs. 9.69 lakhs

I am getting my GTX-DCT on 29th. Getting updates on the progress through sms from different agencies - Fastag, Insurance done.
I will have to leave the car alone for 10 days soon after delivery as I have a trip to US. Will share more updates once I am back.
Settled for the White, instead of the first choice of White & black 2 tone. The dealer could not give me a date for the 2 tone while the white was readily available. Didn't want to wait indefinitely after doing a day 1 booking.

Thank you and haha I know we've all been there. Even I was in a fix whether to wait for the GST council to sit or just take a chance and take delivery. Waiting for the 20th would've meant having to wait for another 9 days coz of the "shradh's". Finally decided not to wait and rushed my sales rep to give me the car on the day prior to the first shradh.

Haha That is quite a coincidence but you'll love driving it on the highway especially on the way back to Delhi the roads are a lot worse compared to the Delhi-Jaipur stretch. The suspension setup really impressed me. It just gobbled up all the bad patches that were thrown at it.

I am in a dilemma. Should I take GTX or the GTX plus.?

I would miss the ventilated seats and 360 degree camera. But the thought of spending less than 20 lacs makes me go for GTX. Dou you think waiting for GTX plus for 6 weeks and paying 1.3 lacs extra is worth it?
