And also looks like the first lot is predominantly Black, White and Green.
I also booked Z8 gold petrol AT, in first hour. Still waiting of delivery estimate.

Re: What happened with your Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking?

I had booked on July 30th and have just received a delivery estimate of 9th July - 8th August 2024.

The model is Z8 MT 4x4 in White.

Appears to be a long wait but I expect it to get revised to August of 2023 since the same has happened with lots of xuv700 bookings as well.

These dates might further cut short as Mahindra is also planning to double the production in 6-7 months time.

Re: What happened with your Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking?

Highly disappointed with the date finally being updated for my booking. I booked on Opening day around 11:30 AM.

Mahindra needs to be certainly up its production planning game. Contemplating future course of action as I am definitely not going to wait for almost 2 years to get a new car.

Re: What happened with your Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking?

Analysis of the available Data, suggest that the following important aspects seem to determine the Delivery Date of the Vehicle:-

1. Pricing (Introductory/ Delivery)
2. Booking Date & Time
3. Model
4. Manual / Automatic
5. Color
6. Location of Dealership

For example; Black Z4 Manual Model booked at Delivery Pricing in Mid August at a Dealership in Tier 2/ 3 City, might get delivered earlier than Gold Z8L Automatic Model at Intro Pricing at a Dealership in Metro City.

Mahindra would definitely want to pep up their Dealerships in small towns that have relatively low bookings for Scorpio N. So, these dealerships are likely to get preference in delivery, irrespective of booking date.

Re: What happened with your Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking?

I had two non introductory booking done by the dealer.
The irony is the booking which was done at 11:07 am has delivery date one month later than the booking which was done at 11:17 am. Both z8 D At 4wd . Earlier delivery date is november 23.
Although i have one introductory booking z8 D At napoli black 2nd march -2nd april

Re: What happened with your Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking?

Today’s conversation with dealer:
He told me that 20 Z8L have reached them but they don’t have any information for my Z4 4wd (10 nov-10 dec 2022) as of now.

He said that he will get this information when the vehicle will be billed to them and then contact me officially. There would be around 15 days gap between the bill date and delivery date.
-
I also discussed about KYC, he said that KYC are only happening after delivery and it is not needed for my variant as it doesn’t have connected car features.

Re: What happened with your Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking?

Any one who has got quote from any insurers? I got quote of 68K from ICICI lombard for ex showroom price of 20.95 L. (only Zero dep and RSA apart from mandatory ones).

Also, discussed with Mahindra finance contact. They are providing 6.99% for score of 780+ with 4 K as processing charges. A good deal in my view considering all other banks have increased their interest rates by 10-20 bps in last month or so. Pre closure allowed after 12 months.

Very similar situation. We have two bookings by dealer for Z8 D AT 4WD, the one confirmed at around 11:15 is scheduled for Dec 2023 while the one confirmed at 11:10 is scheduled for Jan 2024.

Dealers had multiple people logged in to book for their customers. Dealers also had problem during initial minutes of booking and could not complete booking. My guess is that Mahindra used the time stamps(like they did for individual online bookings) and deliveries are scheduled accordingly. So in our case, probably the one scheduled earlier is probably the one that was punched in first even though the booking confirmation happened later.

Will the dealer allow us to take the insurance from outside? I heard a lot of Xuv and Thar stories where the dealers extorted crazy money for insurance by forcing them to buy it from them.

For Ex-showroom price of 23.9L, Reliance gave me a quote for ~75K. I am awaiting an email from them and will post the breakup here in sometime.

Yes, Mahindra Finance is a good option and the processing charges are 3K, please check again. Apart from CIBIL score requirement, I believe they have another condition that disbursement should happen before 31st Dec'22.

Here are some details about Mahindra Finance as told to me:
  • Minimum of 777-780 CIBIL score mandatory
  • Finance available up to 100% of on road cost (includes RTO, Accessories, Insurance charges)
  • Zero foreclosure charges after 12 months from disbursement
  • NO part payment throughout the tenure
  • 6.99% rate of interest

This information was conveyed to me by Mahindra dealer. For me, part payment is important through the tenure as I find that more useful than zero foreclosure. I will probably go with SBI even if it is about 1% more interest. Overall, with part payment option, I may end up saving some money.
