Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

Not sure whether you guys are already aware of this, I have been looking into this excellent site where you could see almost all the spare parts of Baleno and also source almost all of them. They have a very good database which has the details of almost all the parts. Interesting to go through.

While the site is 90% accurate, the prices and sometimes even the part numbers are wrong. So I won't recommend anyone trusting this site blindly.

Having said that, they do have an excellent stock and supply of spares.

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

Hi Leaoshashi,

I am looking for some information.

I want to know what consists of a fuel gauge assembly? It must be located around the fuel tank or within it. Will you be able to extract some information on that. I do not need the information on the fuel gauge on the dash board.
Looking for the fuel sensor or gauge located at the tank end.

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

From where can i source the rear seat belt set? They are torn out and needs urgent replacement. Both the left and rear side belts are torn.

Any alternate solutions?
My DEC 2006 Baleno is mostly self driven and has never been out of the town but i am bit restless looking at the condition of seat belts, if I take on highways for long drives and i recommend wearing of seat belts for rear passengers.

Please suggest

I had ordered some parts a month before from Boodmo. While their UI and parts information is outstanding, there is no transparency like other online shops. There are no phone numbers to contact and no tracking or COD option.
It's been more than a month since placing an order (small one though) and I still haven't received my package. All the email I send has a standardized reply. I would recommend staying away from sites like these.

Agree with that transparency part. It is helpful if there is no other option.

I have PM'd you one contact number of theirs. A guy had contacted me on that mobile number. Give a try with that.

Looks to be an expensive deal to replace them. Probably you may have to live with what you have.

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

Thanks balenoed_

It is an expensive deal!! But safety comes first.
I recently came across a 2005 Baleno which has been lying idle for more than 3 years. Body panels from side is damaged, the roof is bent.

What i checked was the parts like headlamp, taillamp, seatbelts etc. and are all intact. The engine is cranking, tried using jumper cable.

The owner wants to sell it at 22k. Will give a final try next weekend for 15-18k.

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

My friend owns a Euro 3 Baleno. He's searching for a replacement 'connector/socket' for the ECU. Any leads?

There is one available on Olx in Bangalore for 10k. If you can beat him down, your friend can get a replacement ECM. Link to the ECM here.

https://www.olx.in/item/maruthi-bale...tml#d9963b2351

Or the Shivajinagar gujri will be his next probable stop. There are so called specialists shop over there who repair anything.

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

Guys, I really feel so happy to see this thread active.
My dad brought a 2010 Honda City VMT last month
so my first love 2004 Baleno LXi has landed to me.

Despite it's age I think it still the most elegant and fast machine on Indian roads!

I am going to do some restoration soon. I'm happy to see this nexus this thread has created and I feel very relieved to know people share the same love with their Balenos too!

Keep it revving! 3000RPM #YouKnowIt

Cool, and congrats on the new possession.

Yes, you are right, in-spite of its age and outdated design, when it comes to hitting the road in terms of speed, stability, agility, control, there is no match in this segment.
