These are the generic projector's pic he sent me(the one for 15k)
Sohail bhai --Thanks for the pics. They look neat and dandy in pics. What I am worried about is - Would it have the "throw" that is required to light up the road or would it only be ornamental / haphazard. The earlier videos only shows "wow looks" and the "tashan" factor with the light color changing etc (a discotheque on road). Effective?

Wish there was someone who have gone in for it and provide us with some feedback on the same. (with pics/videos) too much to ask for?

Please help
Bro, would you mind sharing his number/location/address etc? Is it located in Bangalore?

Sure Buddy, I found him on our friendly neighbourhood TBHP Classifieds

http://classifieds.team-bhp.com/buy-...nversion.html/

From there I had a chat with him and got the above details. He is based in Kerala (Trissur, I think) and we'd need to send him our headlights and he would finish the work in a couple of days and send 'em back.

Any idea on the conversion kits and pricing i mentioned though? Is it worth it?

Hey naveen, I have got the quote from performance zone for full LEDs. They are quoting Rs.12500 for the Full LED circular tails. Here are the pics:

I've asked him whether it is possible to get the Full LEDs instead of the circular one.. Waiting for his reply..

Cheers,

If it is for an i20, I guess it is worth it. The delhi folks have been quoting 15k to 20k for just the basic version of projector lights for i20 and I enquired with the auto acc shop in forum - who said 22k +2500 installation to do a projector lamp set up for i20. with philips 6000k globes (mechanical type).

hope this helps.

H3 fog lamp upgrade from 55w to 100w ?

The stock fog lamp comes with a H3 12v 55 w bulb. Is it possible to replace it with a 100 w one?

Philips has Essential Power Part Number: (12455 RA 12v 100w H3 PK 22s). Has anyone used it. If yes did you have to change the wiring and fuse etc.

In case of upgrading the headlamp from 55 w to 100 w ceramic holders were to be installed. H3 does not need holders, still anything else that needs to be changed or upgraded?

And can someone please tell me how many pairs of extra fogs can an old Wagon R battery support.

Its possible and H3 doesn't need ceramic holders but you have forgotten the basic rule of thumb in allocating power distribution through proper rated wires. Higher rated bulbs will draw more current than the stock bulbs hence wiring harness and relays should also be upgraded. By using 100W bulbs you are not going to be benefited in terms of visibility as the fogs will enhance the vehicle surroundings only. For enhancing the driving beams go for headlight upgrades.

100W X 2 fogs along with the head lights will be an over kill for Wagon R as it may lead you to an empty battery during B2b traffic depending on battery condition.

That would be great! I just found another unit based in Kerala. which got very competitive pricing called
Litessensed

who says ---

I have retrofits from 13,500Rs. But I would recommend using the H1
Mini Morimoto projectors at 15,000Rs and FX-35 projectors priced at
20,000Rs. Projectors priced from 13,500Rs to 14,500Rs use a kind of
proprietary type HID bulbs, which if gets fried, you wont be able to
source another pair.

I have requested for more details though.

Will keep you updated, Sohail bhai.

Re: Auto Lighting thread : Post all queries about automobile lighting here

For people who were asking for Projector setup in Bangalore: Please try contacting Thouqeer Khan - 9845004858, he seem to have projector setup for cars.

NB: I did not check with/do any projector setup wth him, so dont have any more information - please note.

His shop is near Koramangala club, Bangalore and I got his contact details from a friend of mine (related to my headlight reflector issue stated in the same thread).

Thanks

Fog lamps for swift

Hi,
i have a swift with stock lights. Since its a Ldi, I do not have the fog lamps on the bumper. I wanted to know if i can fit high power lights on the bumper? If yes,
- What kind of lights/ wiring upgrade is required?
- Will it affect warranty by changing/ upgrading wiring?
- Also, if anyone can suggest a good mech for the same in Bangalore, it would be great.

Shubz, this is the same guy from whom I have got the quotes mentioned below. I found the pricing competitive too and hence wanted to check with all in this thread if the H1 Mini and FXR are worth it.

Re: Auto Lighting thread : Post all queries about automobile lighting here

narayanang,

I have met this person. He did not seem very keen on talking of a projector set up but was very keen on fitting my car with retro HID kit.

may be he does a good job with projectors too. I did not go back to him after inquiring about HID's as I was not happy with his pricing nor his approach as he seemed not interested. (well, that is my opinion only)

Reg,
Shubz
