Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

The thing with it being Climate Control rather than AC is that, except for occasional full blast operation to blow very hot air out of the car, I set it and forget it. It sits there on auto, recycle, 22.5 degrees day in day out. And night in night out. The only thing I adjust is the air vent because mostly I do not want direct draft cooling, but... sometimes I do.

It is hugely superior to simple car AC control. The number is nonsense: there is no way that my car drops to 22.5, and I'd hate it if I did. It is not the real internal temperature, I just found that that is the number that keeps me comfortable.

(experience is of GT TDI 1.6, 2 yrs old, but I doubt if it has changed)

No. 2 looks more genuine. Go for that.
Actually, both look original. But the difference is that the second one has the same assembly of parts I had.

Okay so just to confirm, the cheaper one (69 USD) is what I should go for. And take FedEx delivery @26 USD ?

Yes, I purchased from the same seller. You can ask him to keep the invoice amount low to pay less customs duty.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

Dear All,

I had bought the GT in Jan of this year, I had been noticing that the vehicle is pulling to left a lot now a days. I had been to service station at VW whitefield 5 times now.

They say everything is normal with alignment etc, cannot understand how to get this sorted out.

Any help?

Are you running on stock alloys? My friend's GT with Momo revenge was having the same issue and still couldn't figure out the exact issue till date.

Go with the second one. I have bought it from the same seller and they are very cooperative.

I have ordered the second one from the same seller. It is still to arrive. The seller is very co-operative and communicates a lot. I messaged him before ordering to be sure that it is original product. He gave me a discount of $5 so it costed me total $90 with Fedex shipping. The seller himself put a low value for shipping to avoid custom duty. However, the package was stuck in customs and Fedex asked for a form to be filled which I did and submitted to them. The package is released and I expect to get it in a day or two. Shipping time around 10 days.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

Call me crazy, but I ordered the arm rest before booking the car

But I plan to book this week and the only reason why I would cancel my booking at a later stage is if Suzuki confirms Baleno RS launch for Oct/Nov 16.
I want to drive that once and then decide which one to go for. So let's see what's in store for me.

Hi Anshuman, can you tell me how much the duty was? I am looking to order one and would like to know what I can expect my bottom-line to be.

Thanks and cheers

Nil. I called Fedex customer care when I saw the tracking status that the package was stuck at customs. They sent me a KYC form and an authorization form for them to collect the package from customs department on my behalf. I just submitted these along with my ID proof and address proof and the package was released.

I paid around 1K for two piece, couldn't remember the exact amount. Fedex guys gave me a receipt and collected it at the time of delivery.

The 7.5k / 6 month inspection is nothing but just inspection. They will only inspect the car, oil levels etc, give it a good wash, attend to the issues faced by the customer (if any) and that is all.
It is in no way linked to the service schedule as such, which remains at 15k Kms or 1 year, whichever is earlier.
