I checked up with windshield experts. They quoted 7200 all inclusive.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Ford India registers 53% jump in sales.
http://auto.economictimes.indiatimes...spire/48762588

Given that local car sales stood at 8300 I believe around 3-3.5 copies of Ecosport and remaining would be Aspire. So Ford seem to lose the tag of one trick pony!

The Hyundai sales stands at 50K which is second highest seller, while Ford stands at 21K. Time to Launch Figo and Endeavour!

Yes - you said it. This other article in ET brings out this point.
Let's hope this is a watershed moment for Ford India and may they be encouraged to bring some of their models like Kuga to India.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Has Ford hiked prices again? I noticed that CarDekho shows the Petrol variants up by 50K. Ambiente Petrol now starts at 7.1L

Update: Just spoke to the dealer. September prices have not been received yet.

The official Ford India website shows prices starting ex-showroom delhi as 6.75lacs. Carwale lists ex-showroom price(Bangalore) as 6.88 lacs .

The Ford website gets updated very late. As late as February 2015, they were still showing the 2014 prices with the excise duty waiver. Hyundai, Honda, Maruti, etc. have hiked prices in August and Ford may also follow suit. Anyway, we'll know in a few days - the September price list should be out soon.

I have given my car at Harpreet ford gurgaon regarding the hardness of the clutch which I was facing. The service advisor said that the clutch plate has been burnt and it is going to be changed. Pressure plate will also be changed. Minimum expenditure is 14K. And it is not under warranty. The car has run about 30k kms. I don't know whether this is right or not.

Try asking in the Aspire thread. It should be available to the Aspire owners after logging in to https://www.india.ford.com/owner

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Can someone advice whether I can wait for Ecosport Facelift version or go with the current version? Also is there any prompt news on the upgrades of the facelift version?Heard it may feature the 100ps engine as in the Aspire.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Just google it.. Many articles on the Facelifted features. But even I would like to know when they plan to launch it here...

My guess is , since its already launched and shipping to UK- they may launch it here around the festive season.

Yes Hoping so, But then we cannot expect the UK version to be installed in India. UK Version does has some additional features with little cosmetic changes. Hopefully they dont mind to introduce the same here.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Crossed the 10000 km mark yesterday.
The main pluses remain constant from the beginning -

Great Safety Features.
Solid Build.
Comfy seats (esp the driver's).
Compact dimensions yet roomy enough.
Good audio system.

The minuses (also remain constant) -

Terribly stiff ride (I briefly toyed with the idea of getting the Rogers suspension attachment but did not go ahead because I am apprehensive that the cure would be worse than the disease).
No electronically folding ORVM (this is a sore point)
Arm rest (position & size) not too good.

The only modification job that I've done is switching the stock headlamp bulbs for Philips Xtreme Vision 130+.

Things that I would have loved to have -

HID headlamps.
AWD for tackling the bad roads and slush in plantation country.

Apart from the 10000 kms service, the only additional expense so far has been money (Rs.5000/-) spent on fixing a minor dent/scratches on the rear left door made by a two wheeler lunatic.
