Most of us are Ecoboost owners, diesels don't have this error as far as I know.

I am not sure about the size, mr srinivas will be right person to guide you, also does any one know where we can source auto runner coil spring assister which GTO has installed.?

Ali express sells spring assisters for ecosport separately too, I will try to pull out the picture and post it in my thread

It is a good engine overall, nothing too good or too bad about it, just a regular 1.5 litre petrol engine. The same engine is no so good with the automatic.

Diesel is also ok, power is just about adequete doesnt have any extra reserve power.no turbo lag.

Ecoboost is very good on larger stretches like the highways but it has low speed turbo lag so you may not like the city drive, where as the diesel is a breeze in city.

Don't worry most of these errors are due to sensors going kaput. They should be able to diagnose the problem using the OBDs. Keep us updated.

Mine is a diesel ecosport, Aug manufactured and I updated the Sync just last week. Even I have a feeling it's because of the update. Anyways, let's see what they have to say when I take it for service next week.

Hey guys,

Spotted a Terrano, took some pictures along with my ride.
Execpt the front view everything else looks and feels awfully cheap. Another bad product from Nissan.Expected better this time.

Few points.
1.you have to actually get off the car for seat height adjustment.
2.plastic quality is pretty bad.
3.air con knobs feel toy car plastic like.
4.rubbery gear shift, slots well though.
5.power windows look and fell aftermarket
6.rear window goes half way down.
7.instrument cluster as cheap as duster.
8.front view is awesome.
9.glove box is lit from inside
10.extremely bad driving position.
11.gas filled strut to keep the bonnet open.
12.door handles and doors feel very down market.
13.engine noice is well controlled.
14.like the smoky headlamps.
15.alloys could have been finished better
16.no steering wheel controls even for the top end.
17.quite an impressive list of accessories they have a rear window curtain too
18.over all i feel it is better than the duster but no way even close to the ecosport.

My verdict.
If you are gonna be in the drivers seat(live to drive?) then it is surely the ecosport is the choice to buy or if you choose to be in the rear or co drivers seat then go for duster or terrano

I am extremely happy with my decision on the ecosport.
I bought the Terrano mainly because of its ride quality which most agree is superior to the Ecosport. Could have bought the Duster but the Terrano styling is so much better(compared to Duster). And the 5 petal Alloys on the Terrano are especially good, I love them!!!

Ecosport styling is the most beautiful, the front and back look the SUV part, but the side profile(though beautiful) does look a bit like a hatch on heels.

And ofcourse Ecosport Ecoboost nails it in the power delivery especially when compared to the Petrol Terrano.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

I am seeing this on my ecosport TDCI as soon when the engine cold starts. It appears for less than a second and vanishes.

The Engine Malfunction message comes to the Multi Functional Display from either the Instrument Cluster or the Body Control Module.
The SYNC software should have no effect in this.

Congrats AVM.

The black "wig" does look cool. It makes the ecosport look a little EVOQUEish.

Just trying to visualize how it would look on a blue ecosport. Where in bangalore did you get this done ?

Thanks Roy and Hillman for your feedback. I am not going to buy them from eBay for now. Will check locally with car accessory retailers and see if it fits into the centre console and only then decide.

Looks great, avm. Maybe a panther black spare-wheel cover will complete the look?

Mine is September manufactured TDCI titanium. I have done 500 Kms and not yet got any such error although I deliberately drove this car on pretty bad patches.
I have not done the Sync update yet.

Hey buddy, I had initially booked a blue ES myself and was dreaming about getting the top done. I feel a white matte vinyl will look kickass for the blue beauty.

Hmm. Looks like the SYNC update had something to do with this. Others who have not done SYNC, are you facing any such errors?
