You will never, ever regret going for the bigger engine.

In fact, every time you start her up, you will give yourself a pat on the back for choosing the right engine.

Wait till the running-in period is over. Then, take her to the redline & enjoy the rush of power...as well as the sound (3.2 has a very likeable engine note for a diesel).

2. Yes. The wheel alignment should be done. Ideally at every 5k kms but 10k is fine too.

I got the wheel alignment done at Madhus on Richmond Road/Double Road and they had the New Endeavour data loaded in the system. Unless you live too far it would be good for you to visit.
Thanks.
Elite Ford, fluids were topped up. Not sure if any other checks were done, though the service guy was thorough with the things he has done.

Madhu's would be a bit far for me, any other options anyone could suggest in and around bellandur and HSR areas for wheel alignment.

Congratulations. Looks beautiful. Please share initial experience. I guess it's a 4x4, 2.2 liter manual. Not many seem to have this version.

Congrats JeepSomeday! Welcome to the club. The car looks absolutely smashing in that shade and under those showroom lights. The Endy looks good in all the shades. Red being the most striking in my opinion. I think I have the most boring shade - White!!. Don't ask me why I then chose white.

Wish you a million fun filled miles!

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Price list 2017 received from Bhavna Ford, Navi Mumbai. Dealer has no pricing or clarity on Trend variants, and speculating that a facelift maybe on the cards or some features may be coming in/going out as they did with the EcoSport. I guess Ford sales is completely clueless after Fortuner has bagged 10k bookings (http://www.thehindu.com/business/Toy...le17069355.ece)

Trend Variants are taken off until At least April 2017

It's confirmed, Trend versions won't be available until at least April 2017. Wonder why did they gave so many Discounts at end of 2016 if they didn't have any plans for 2017?

Such up & downs are not expected from a Global Automaker. They should have a clear strategy and then launch/ price their products. Who knows if FORD now decides to make price of Titanium more expensive and target even more limited number of customers

You can definitely take it wherever you want to, including some mild snow/slush based off roading as long as you make sure you do not rev the engine beyond, say, 3k rpm for sustained durations.

Mountain roads are in fact better for a healthy running in of the vehicle due to the continuous variations in speed they offer.

Such uncertainty is surely going to feed more speculation and rumour and going to hurt the Endeavor and Ford brand. Ford should come out and clarify their position. But I guess, Ford is used to such tactics, they have killed the new Fiesta earlier by a similar failed sales strategy by pricing it much higher than what it deserved.

Just a reflection I suppose! Possibly from a white or silver Ford parked nearby.

Thanks a lot Czarcarsm! Yes it is the 4X4 2.2 manual. I basically had to choose between an AT 4X2 and a MT 4X4 (since I couldn't afford the top end AT 4X4). My decision based on the fact that it would be chauffer driven most of the time and so 4X4 appeared to be a better feature than AT. Haven't driven it much since taking the delivery, but quite happy with the drive I have done so far.

Hahaha...thanks Scorpion !! Indeed the Red is the most striking colour. I was quite tempted, but I needed something that didn't call too much attention (just a personal preference). Glad you like the colour. I don't think it is among the most popular ones.

White will have longevity beyond any others...some consolation atleast :-)

Most likely a reflection from an overhead tubelight. Certainly not what it appears to be...thank god !

Hi Jeepsomeday, I have been looking out for reviews of the 2.2 4X4 Trend variant. I am being offered a 2016 MY vehicle at the old prices with the Dec 2016 offers. I could not come across any good reviews of the MT variants. Can you post an ownership report. Especially interested in Gear shift quality, whether there is any turbo lag, how long/hard is the clutch, can you pass a speed breaker just on 2nd gear, ease of driving in bumper to bumper traffic etc.

Hello,

2.2 4×4 trend is an excellent choice if you are getting it for around 27 lakhs OTR.

-super easy to drive
-gear shift is smooth and slots well
-no noticeable turbo lag
-soft clutch and not very long
-you can even pass a breaker in 3rd gear too
-city mileage is an easy 11 kmpl(tested)
-highway would be around 16 kmpl (my guess)
-terrain management with diff lock is a bonus

Negatives
No option for 7 airbags on trend
No keyless entry
Only 3 year warranty (not extendable)

2.2 would have been a killer if it was offered in a 4×4 titanium version with all the bells and whistles

Ford is already feeling tremendous heat from the Fortuner and they had to hike the prices now, really?

What was Ford thinking?

May be they actually don't want to sell high numbers of the Endeavour in India.
