Is it ok to leave it off or should I get a replacement ?

This has happened with my car as well. I was passing through about 1 feet deep water (Q City Road towards Nallagandla) in Hyderabad. After some time, not knowing the fact I kept on driving, I started hearing noise of pebbles hitting underbody and the engine protection cover which had come off from one side (rear). As I used to speed up the cover used to cut the air and used to make disturbing noise. Pebbles hitting underbody was like someone hitting the car continuously.

I visited a local garage and he fixed the clips and thereafter the noise was gone.

Hope this helps.

Sorry for a late reply, he must have fixed it already. But still. Its always best to look at one's owners' manual for the car to get specifications. Ford being Ford (I always mean this in a positive way about Ford!) - is good enough to give detailed manuals online as well. Very convenient.

Have a look at the details here -

Hey congratulations on the car! Trend is a superb VFM trim IMHO. Wish you amazing safe journeys with the EcoSport.

Did you get your car? Did you test this out? I'm quite curious to know. Generally I have seen the wheels of Titanium and above. They have the phone answer icon printed on the RHS button set, on the button that has "previous seek/rewind" function. It indeed seems missing in your picture.

Let me know please if that means that one has to use the in-dash phone button or if the feature is present on the steering also, just that the icon isn't printed. Thanks!

(If the feature isn't there - it won't be a big deal really. Its not a huge difference to use the in-dash phone button the same way. I used it in my car without problem for 9 years. In fact now I find it is better in dash because it doesn't move around that way. Is always at the same place and can be used blindly .)

One of the thing I missed during showroom visits, was how phone connectivity works with steering controls.

On my i20, I can quickly access the phone log via the green call button and can dial the number via the same as well. I can also pick and reject calls via the green and red call buttons.

I did not see any phone buttons on the steering for FlyAudio variant, unlike the Sync3 one.

In my Titanium, this is how call function works:

Thats right - but does your steering have the answer and reject function icons also printed on the buttons? The Titaniums that I have been in, had that icon. This steering doesn't have those on the Trend in the picture. Thats why the query I think.

I switched my booking for Titanium, as its already available in stock, vis-a-vis 4-6 weeks waiting for Trend.

I have confirmed that current Titanium/Titanium+ also lacks the phone symbols. Only S model, with Sync3 has the logo.

I will be visiting the soon to be mine car tomorrow for PDI, will be trying out there itself.

Went to the stockyard and had a look. The feature does indeed work, even though the icons are not printed.

However, I didn't notice any way to access the call log from the steering directly.

Attaching a few pictures of my (soon to be) steed.

Lovely colour of lovely car! Congrats & hope you get it quickly now! EcoSport is my favourite car & I love it the most in red. So much so that - Even in my scale model collection (it goes over 100 cars now!) I have picked a red EcoSport. Its my son's favourite of the lot & that shows in the health of the toy since he is only 3.5 years old & tends to drop it every now and then! Even as a toy the EcoSport is strong & has withstood all the abuse!!!

Sorry for the toy photo! Simply couldn't resist after seeing a real red EcoSport!

*Listening to Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart*

And then I think KIA, ye tune kya Kia?

Jokes apart, the Seltos GTX DCT seems out of reach for me. I will be canceling my prebooking.

I TD'd the Ford EcoSport 1.5 TDCi S MT today. I think it's everything the Seltos offers (minus) a smaller size (minus) the bling and gimmicky features. The build quality is way way way better, the engine is punchy, has all the safety including 6 airbags, ABS, TCS, ESC et al. Add to it the high ground clearance and 500 mm of water fording capability.

I believe unless size and gimmickry are a need, we have a winner in the EcoSport. And you also get to keep a few more lacs.

PS: Posting it here since it's more relevant here

Hi everyone. Quick question.. What are the specs for the lug nuts for Ecosport Titanium 2018 with 205/60 R16 wheels? Do i need to worry about the threads per inch values? Pcd values don't matter.. Correct??
The stock ones on my car are worn out, with their stupid alloy cap, and i don't want to be stuck on the road with a flat.. when that happens.
Even my alignment guy has been having trouble removing them for the past 2 times..
