Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi everyone, just a doubt. If i buy the car from a showroom in Bangalore and register it in another district (Coorg) will there be any issues?

Is this specific to AWD variant?

I somehow found suspension nice in TD vehicle absorbing the potholes of Bangalore pretty well. Is Harrier/Safari suspension on similar lines?

I also had following query:
- I only see 2 rear parking sensors (usually I've seen 4 in other cars) unless I missed noticing other 2. Doesn't this limit the range of detecting obstacle on the left/right corner of rear bumper? I understand 360 camera will give that view but for me audible alert is what really helps

Also, any update on boot size/volume with 3rd row down? I'm seeing different numbers online so not sure if there is anything official.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I remember reading the official figures being quoted at 900 litres for the 7 seater variant, with the 3rd row completely folded.

Hi yuvmudapa, This is a usual practice for a lot of the buyers, who live close to Metro cities. They do this often. You will have to get the temporary registration done at Bangalore and talk to the local RTO guys, in your city, for completing the final process. Also a suggestion, keep your Bangalore dealer update on this plan to avoid last minute surprises.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Has anyone got the luggage cover installed, is it available. Wanted to check if it is compatible with XUV500.

Other than that, no issues to report from my end. Loving the XUV7OO.
I had also few days back mentioned similar issue which I am facing with the front suspensions. It seems to be a problem with both sides where going over small bumps on slow speeds, there is loud THUD sound which does not seem normal as the same is not heard from the rear suspensions. This sound seems to be more audible at slower/crawling speeds. I had already raised this issue with nearby service center but they shrugged it off as being normal.

By the sound of it when it does occur, it does not seem normal by any means but unfortunately I could not replicate the sound over the potholes near the dealer. The sound seems to be the loudest over the speed bumps in basement car parks. I am contemplating raising the issue with customer care but I have feeling they would just ask me to go to the dealer.

Based on my experience for around 2K km now, such a loud thud is not normal. Front wheels usually make a muffled double thud on most of the imperfections and speed bumps. There is a loud thud, from rear wheel, when going fast over potholes with no slope, even if shallow, which can surprise you as usually it's pretty silent. These are the type of potholes where a layer of tarmac is gone with the layer below is intact.

Yes, I have a AX7L-P and have this issue from day one. I have completed over 2300 kms and the issue still persists and increasing day by day. I did show it to the service center during my Android update last week and as you guessed, they shrugged it off saying it is normal and all cars have it. I have asked them to escalate to Mahindra as I remember reading in some earlier post that this is a know issue and they have fixed it by changing the design of the shock mount. I hope they roll out this fix to existing cars as-well.

Planning to talk to customer care manager from Mahindra this week to discuss about this.

I have paid ₹5.5k as advance for the same. Got the vehicle delivery in 1st week of Jan and the luggage cover delivery is yet to be done. Accessories department says delay is due to supply shortage and I am told not a single luggage cover is delivered. As per the accessories brochure it’s a retractable one and could be worth the wait. As per latest update it might get delivered by April.

Meanwhile tried local options in Chennai but even GP road guys are not able to design one.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hii guys just wanted to share some news with you all. My dealership called today to inform us that our car is in transit and on the way. I was elated after hearing the news
I'm surprised to see that our car is coming home so soon. Wait that doesn't sound right now, Let me give some background - We booked XUV700 AX7L D AT midnight black on Oct 7 within 20 mins of opening for bookings. When we received a delivery date of August 2022, all of us were disappointed so dad took it upon himself to ease the delivery timelines. He raised a request at this company to receive the car on a preferential basis, his company works closely with Mahindra hence the request.
Mahindra agreed to do the same but didn't promise any dates so was pleasantly surprised today. I will keep you all posted

Glad to know that I'm not the only one facing the issue. And also, I remember as well reading ram87pune's post regarding the suspension noise. I wonder if it's because of that? If that's the case, Mahindra has issued a fix already as per him for next batch. But, I wonder if we need to get the same done as well at dealer level, and also whether Mahindra would issue an advisory for the same.

Will be visiting the city tomorrow for some work so I guess I'll get the Android Auto patch as well as apprise the Service Centre folks about this. Will update the thread if I am able to get any updates on the same.

Congrats Bro,

I have booked the same variant except the color is Silver and awaiting delivery in the next week or so.

My Booking Date: 10-OCT-2021 variant AX7 L AT Diesel Silver

Mahindra surprised me that the car is in transit and will arrive dealership between Mar-12th to 14th. Another surprise is Mahindra has offered Oct-7th price protection since I kept the car in the cart for few days and I ran in to issue while trying to book on 7th due to the infamous website crash fiasco.

Possibly both of our vehicles are from the same batch (if there is such a thing)

I have for now ordered a luggage net from Amazon; waiting for delivery to see if it fits. It's called AllExtreme trunk net.
