Ah, alright. May 2023 sounds right.

I have the same concern as you. There were murmurs of a price increase in January 2022 itself. So the exact price we will pay is unknown.

Yep, in one year the prices will definitely increase. If it is not by a huge amount I am fine with it but if it increases by a lot then I will probably cancel my booking.

I posted something around it in another thread, posting here on quick reference, just wild figures in comparison with Thar -

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ml#post5211196 (Mahindra XUV700 | Long wait times for deliveries)

I do believe that whoever booked in 2021 will get delivery in 2022 despite of what dates they are getting, few reasons for that

1. Mahindra planned production increase.

2. Impact of huge cancellation numbers will only be felt when anyone who moved to other brands start getting delivery, most of these customer while they decided not to wait, they will not cancel booking till they receive car from other brand, which might be around 3-6 months of minimum waiting.

3. Cancellation on price increase, these are the one who might prefer to extend budget if Mahindra does "Thar" thing and decides to get prices updated heavily.

4. Predicted Increased availability of chips from 1Q'22 End.

5. Scorpio 2022 factor - Mahindra launches are generally at attractive prices, with XUV 700 getting revised pricing in 2022, Scorpio will feel more attractive, that too with initial price protection !

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi Folks,

On the m2all website, for the Roof Carrier, it mentions that its compatibility is just with MX and AX3 variants. But the compatibility of the Roof Bar Set is for AX5 and AX7 as well. But it also puts a disclaimer: "This product might interfere in the functioning of the sky roof for AX5 and AX7 vehicle variants. Therefore, we do not recommend for AX5 and AX7 variants."

Does this mean that as long as we don't open the Sun Roof, we should be fine and can still use it? Also, as this is just 2 sets of bars, how can we carry luggage?

Thank You

You can use the carrier box on those bars (like Thule). Also generally used to mount the cycles on the bar - facing forward two cycles can be mounted. Bars as such only provide a base - you need clamps/ box fittings etc which is additional accessory depending on the manufacturer.

Are you sure this is the correct number? Should it not be a 17 character value? What is the variant of the vehicle that you have booked?

I too received VIN for my XUV 700 AX7 D AT today, which is a 17 character value. I too am not sure if that is the correct value as I am not able to validate it on any of the VIN validation sites.

VIN should be 17 characters. 10th character M means year 2021. 12th character denotes the month. K is october, L is november and M is december.

Thanks for the help. With that logic, mine is a December 2021 manufactured vehicle.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Today I got a call from the SA and he said he has 4 Electric Blue AX5s in stock and if I want to switch over from the midnight black that I had booked and awaiting the delivery in April 2022. Since I was not very impressed with the blue coloured XUV700, I had to say no. If anyone else had booked in the same showroom (MM Motors, Ayyappanthaangal, Chennai) and interested for a swap, please check with your SA. I guess they are allowing variant change too.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Im just sharing my ETA's for your reference:

I'd booked two cars; XUV700 D AX7 LP AT AWD Black on 10-Oct-21 & later XUV700 P MX white on 10-Dec-21, both from Greater Noida.

I'd earlier received AX7 ETA for FEB'23 via email, now online tracking shows ETA between 20th Jan and 19th Feb 2023.

Online tracking for MX shows between 3rd Jul and 2nd Aug 2022

So this means that petrol base model has roughly half the waiting period as that of Diesel Top model with AWD/AT that too when the former was booked 2 months later than the latter.

The dates may advance due to cancellations and I may probably be able to wait as I would get one car comparitively earlier unless M&M decides to increase the price. I feel any price increase, especially on the top variant, will mar the VFM this car offers.

You can take a note of the chassis and engine number at the time of PDI. Adrenox will be activated at the time of delivery itself and KYC for the same should be started earlier. Warranty for 4th and 5th year combined will work out cheaper and more value for money.

Another close look at the VIN you have mentioned and it is clear that the value YHM4M45773 is your engine number.

M6M13732 are last 8 characters of your VIN. This shows that your car is December 2021 production. Please ask your dealer to share the full VIN number.
