You could try in SP Road, Blr . In tools shops, after you pass the computer accessories shops.

When I want to buy DA, I went there and checked for Indian models. One shop(Sorry I forgot the name) showed me a model which you can attach to drill machine.

But I don't advise that for car polishing. I have tried it in my hand it was not handy and leveling it might be tricky task, I doubt you could complete full car with that.

But if you are still interested you could check there.

Clearing tar spots on windscreen:

Don't know how but 3 tar spots made themselves a home on my car windscreen with each of length 1" by 1 mm. While driving tar spots didn't cause any problem but at the back of the mind, I knew where to find them.

So today, used Meguiars clay bar & Quick detailer to clean it from the windscreen. Just a mist on windscreen and rubbed the clay bar in the direction of wind over the tar spot. Initially tar spot was very rugged, but after a few more swipes it started to come off. So in the end all the three tar spots were cleaned, and windscreen was as good as new. Job well done.

There are quite a lot of them available. Just wanted to know if they are of good quality and whether they last if bhp-ian has used/ bought them.

I have the 10m hose. The quality of the hose is not good. The plastic shower quality is ok and will outlast the hose definitely.

But the unit can be used for atleast 10-20 times post which you will have to change the hose/look for a better hose.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Have ordered this from the US and used this for all rubber beadings (door/trunk) and window run channels (couple of power windows were running slower than normal).

Miracle product - just like reviews say! The beadings feel new and fluffy. The windows are rolling down like new.

Expensive, but a little drop covers a lot of territory.

Yes. Silicone based. This is the only product mandated by honda to their dealerships to stop window, sunroof squeaks and maintain rubber beading health, so I reckon you needn't worry. Do google it up.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Start of some thing new : Blind Sample

I don't know if anyone of you heard of blind sample. Something like sending over a sample of product without telling receiver what the brand name of product is except what it is. Like sending a sample of paint sealant without telling the product brand name.

Fellow bhpian @Sohail99 sent over 3 blind samples to me, of which I used one of them. I have written about it on my ownership thread, let me know your views.

Link.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Has someone in Bangalore tried out Pete's Detailing shop near Siddapura, Marathahalli-Varthur Road (near Shell petrol bunk)?

Their site has a few cars and the outcome is pretty neat.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Good work there. Somehow it looked that the LHS was better in output.
BTW: How would you get precisely 1:252 ratio of ONR:water?

Edit: I checked out the site of the manufacturer. It seems currently this one is to be sourced from Delhi only.
500 ml liquid + 2 MFs = Rs. 500.

Edit2: If someone wants me to test, I can volunteer. I have an open parking and generally a very dirty car with tree sap on the top and muck on the bottom portions.
