Getting tempted to go for a BMW X1. Todays paper has an advt for 24.99 (ex showroom mumbai) for a fully loaded 2.0D model. Has anyone been able to get anything better?

Are you sure about top end model, if it's true, it's a steal then.

Well it does'nt have the sport trim but it has all the essential features like panoramic sunroof, leather, multifunction steering, navigation, bmw apps etc.

Amazing price if it is the top end model. Discount of nearly 8lakhs on the showroom price. Usually discounts run up-to 4lakhs on the OTR. Just make sure it is the face lifted new model.

Someone I know has booked a Polo HL D and has gotten the below deal. He hasn't mentioned the final OTR price.

"5 year engine wrnty, 5 year color wrnty, 5 free service including oil and 2 filters, 4 year zero dep Insu. Free 5 year free roadside asst, free seatcovers, 5 year rust warnty 23k less from onroad price and most amazing thing is ready to swap spare wheel with alloy if i pay 1800inr."

Got the below quotes in Hyderabad.

Brio V MT
Pride Honda, Hi Tech City
On Road - 5,80,463 lacs (which includes 3 & 4th year ext warranty; road side assistance). Of course they included logistic charges, 12% road tax.

Ritz Zxi
Varun Motors, Hyder Nagar
On Road - 6.1 lacs + std accessories; also include 3rd year warranty.

What do you say? Good or can get better?

Down south dealers are offering 1.3lakh straight discount. 3 friends bought the same. 2 emotions and 1 dynamic. The discount was the same for all though.

VW Passat Discount

VW India is offering discounts of up to 3.25L without Insurance on the Passat Trendline Manual on older 2012 stock. Is it advisable to buy older manufactured stock from the VW dealer.

I believe you should ask for more discount for older stock. About some months ago, my boss took up Superb which was around 9 month old stock. He got 3L discount along with an upgrade in music system worth around 68K. Passat was way behind Superb in terms of off-take. Most probably there are stocks lying everywhere in the distribution system for Passat. you can ask him to throw in free insurance perhaps to sweeten this further.
