Wow, on a swift diesel. Economy is really bad shape huh. What sort of discounts are they offering on the zdi and zxi? Like ballpark figures?

Mahindra Quanto

Hi guys,

I have booked a quanto. Total discount offered was 48k. The official mahindra scheme on the quanto is 41k till 31st july, but certain dealers are going to offer them in august month as well, since the sales are very slow. But, you will have to negotiate real hard (I was at the dealer for almost 4 hours before finalizing). One dealer offered me 50k discount too, but I had already made a commitment by then.

Volkswagen too have some schemes: for jetta petrol and diesel (manual models only), you get free comprehensive insurance, and some exchange bonus scheme as well.

Further, Audi and BMW are offering good cash discounts on Q3 and X1 ranging from 2-4 lakhs.

Chevy has some good offers right now: upto 80-90k off on cruze and 50-60k off on their other petrol models (I am not sure which ones though, since my friend only enquired superficially).

Maruti has a good scheme going on for wagon r. You can get upto 62k off (includes cash discount, exchange bonus and corporate discount). But this offer cannot be availed for VXi trims (Please confirm about the trim aspect though)

Skoda offers: 1. Yeti: upto 1.5 lac off
2. Laura: 1.5 lac off on any 2013 models, 3 lac off on 2012 models (any trim)

Nissan: Evalia has good discount upto 1.5 lac off (I think its already put up somewhere else on the forum)

Thanks,
Simple_car

Any idea of discounts on corolla petrol? I am a little confused between diesel elantra and petrol altis. This car would be driven by my wife around 10000 km per year. Don't feel like compromising the fun to drive factor. Choice is between economy and fun to drive factors, basically heart vs head. Toyota it seems, has still not passed on the excise duty cuts to the consumers.

Petrol altis isn't the car to look for, when you're looking for fun to drive factor, though nor is the diesel elantra either. How about looking at a laura tsi, rather.

Or if the choice has to be between the two mentioned by you, I'll say get the diesel elantra, unless you'll be spending more time on back seat of the car, for which altis will suit your need well.

Am in Delhi/NCR, any BHPian of this area, any idea of such huge discount of 1.3 lakh in around NCR as is being offered by South dealership.
There are similar discounts on the Linea too in the NCR region. I was told 1 lakh straight off+corporate discount+extended warranty. And this was without negotiations. I'm sure I'd have been able to save more on insurance and other freebies too.

It's the same numbers for Zdi, no idea about Zxi. They don't keep a ready stock of Zdi's though, like they do for Vdi, which I got within a day.

I had gone to enquire about Ford Ecosport in Ludhiana. Was given a 7 month waiting period.

Even went to Maruti Showroom down the road.
Ritz vdi : Discount 25,000 + essential kit.

Swift Vdi : ready delivery + 15,000 customer loyalty discount + essentials kit + 25-30,000 further discount if exchanging an existing Maruti Vehicle.

I got my figo almost a month back, zxi diesel for 5.8. But somehow the price of titanium shown here, sounds fishy to me, after discounts the titanium was coming to some 6.3-6.4.

Re: Ford Festive Bonanza

This is dealer exclusive I suppose, there's nothing on the Ford website nor at the dealer website. The prices IMO may be for the 2012 models and is an exercise by the dealer to clear the backlog in the stock yard. Maybe the dealer is getting ready for the festive season to start and sell the 2013 models at the usual prices.

I'm looking out to replace my Alto with automatic A start or the likes. Would have liked to go for Brio or Micra but both are out of my budget. Alto seems to be the choice. Got a quote of 5.4L on road after haggling. Anybody got any idea what should be the price for A Star Auto ? This for Thane/Mumbai registration.
Any deals going on at present on this model or any auto hatch back model?

The brio without airbags costs about 4.0 - 4.4L (depending on the state) ex showroom.

A 10% registration plus insurance will bring that to about 5.3-5.4 L on road.

Even if u have to spend 10-20k extra go For brio. It's a much much better car than A star. And of course more reliable and loaded.
