It seems they are selling the stocks of the current model with big discounts.
I saw this advt in the papers today of the current Scorpio at a discount.
There is no mention of the next gen scorpio in this.

Obvious ain't it? If they mention, then people would NOT buy this car, even with those discounts. Am pretty sure as of now, only those who regularly browse thru automotive forums would know of the new gen Scorpio.

Between, it would need to be seen how the new gearbox holds up.

This is a great opportunity for someone in the market for a LX 4x4. With these discounts + some hard bargaining, there's a good chance to get it for under 9L.

This was exactly what I was hoping, trying an entire new gear box is a gamble that M&M is taking. However, the engine and gear box fitting directly from XUV may have had their own challenges since XUV is a FWD and has a transversely placed engine. But I am not sure this would be an only factor and some Mechanical Gurus be in a better position to answer this.

Anyways, another week to go before we get the final specs officially rather than speculating

As per ACI the spec's seems good. New chassis, much more essential equipment and a combo of A/T and 4wd makes the upcoming scorpio a good choice in the segment and also a big relief from the sub 4 mt soft-roaders dotting the streets. I would seriously consider this while upgrading my Amaze 2 or 3 years later and by that time it would undergo another facelift ( I hope it happens).
Anyway lets wait for a couple of days till the official launch happens.

I know from a dealer in B'lore that 4wd is available on S4 and S10 variants.
S2 is the one with M2DiCR, so S4 is like LX and S10 is like VLX. The scene is just like before.

Wasn't the 4wd only available in LX and VLX. The EX (M2DiCR) 4wd is something new.

I understand, Price List will be available after 25th Sept'14. I have been insisting for a proforma invoice and they do not have the PL as yet.
