Is this the next-generation Mahindra Bolero (U301)? NAMED: Mahindra TUV300

With a very boxy shape this product is going to have a great challenge competing against dynamic and dashing designs such Creta, Duster, Scross...

Hope the product actually launched on 10th has totally different winning expressions!

re: Next-generation Mahindra Bolero? NAMED: Mahindra TUV300! EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 6.90 lakhs

Mahindra India has started the promotions of the TUV 300, by advertising an opportunity to all it's prospective customers of taking home a brand new, shiny TUV300!

There are other prizes up for grabs as well - a chance to win an Entry for Two in the Mahindra Adventure North East Escape, 5 iPads and 100 TUV300 related merchandise.

All you have to do is log into Mahindra India's official TUV300 website, answer two questions, and tell Mahindra India why one "loves the tough DNA of Mahindra SUVs".

This will be a game changer for Mahindra as was the case for Scorpio and then XUV.
The only drawback I feel based on the pics on internet and the test mules seen in Chakan are the B,C Pillars. The angles are somewhat similar to A PILLAR.
Today while going to office, around 7-8 TUV's crossed. I could not click as I was driving.

Seems to be better that Honda BRV in looks. Hope this comes with elegant black interiors rather than Mahindra's favorite Brown interiors. The gear rod seems to be lengthy in comparison with the other MUV/SUVs like Ecosports and Duster

Silhouette looks smashing. Big, boxy and butch. I can hardly wait to see it in real.

re: Next-generation Mahindra Bolero? NAMED: Mahindra TUV300! EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 6.90 lakhs

Looks good. looks like a proper SUV & not a hatchback on steroids. I think this may be missing black cladding all around ( that would have completed the looks). Hopefully some 'adventure' or 'explorer' edition will be released later.

This time Mahindra has ensured that there are no leaked out final images before launch (still hopeful of seeing one though) hence the suspense & curiosity levels are maintained.

Hope the overall build quality & fit n finish is good too. All the best Mahindra, sincerely hope its not another Quanto.

Attached find the pics of TUV 300 being tested at Bikaner yesterday. They stopped me from taking pics from inside. The Red one is with 6 speed auto transmission.

Certainly, looks better than expected. Shiny red is eye catching, I see a bit of Jeep in the design courtesy the chrome grill. Job well done Mahindra, a sophisticated Bolero for the Urban dwellers.

Definitely looks nice, this one is getting exciting with AMT and all. Bring it on Mahindra, if it turns out to be as good as expected, this will create a sensation in its segment.

Wow, my wish came true in just 5 minutes.
Looks really nice indeed, not sure about the front grill & headlamps, but overall proportion looks decent. looks bigger than 4m. Good & decent attempt by Mahindra.

It looks Jeepish to me as well in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. Probably a bit of cladding would have increased the look. Hope they have come with Dusterish ride quality on this.

Any idea when the media drives are planned for TUV300?

This looks better than what I had expected. Still no tank inspirations to be seen anywhere. How it does would depend on pricing, interior quality, ride and how sorted the driving dynamics are.

EDIT: Oh and I would remove those third row seats. Seem very cramped from the looks of it.

Nice modern interpretation of the Bolero shape... 6 speed auto too sounds good. Has a distinct possibility of setting the market on fire...

re: Next-generation Mahindra Bolero? NAMED: Mahindra TUV300! EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 6.90 lakhs

The overall proportions look good. After a slew of curvy and edgy designs a simple boxy design looks pretty good actually.

Only if they had given a bit more of side cladding, it may have helped reduce the bulk. Cross vehicles (i20 Active, Polo Cross, etc.) offer it and it would definitely have helped in a vehicle of this genre rather.

If wannabees can have it, why not the true blue sport it.

MOD NOTE - PLEASE WATERMARK THE IMAGES SHARED ABOVE.
