By any chance was this at Sparsh Kia, Moti Nagar? I had gone there and they told me the same thing that the cars being manufactured now and yet they were positive that the first lot is expected in mid October and they might be able to deliver the vehicle. Although I am sure it is just to secure my booking and the car would take atleast 2 months to arrive since the bookings have gone through the roof.

The only thing I am considering is that if there is any merit in booking the car and taking delivery in November end/ December or rather wait out another month and go for a 2020 variant.

That is indeed sparsh kia. I would not recommend sparsh kia to you. I think you can go for lohia kia or allied Kia if trying to book.

Also, they gave me a weird reason. They said kia does not have diesel engines. I asked how is the engine available for htk+ but not GTX+? Are they using a different engine for the top variant to which he tried to change the topic and mention that kia had forcefully delivered hkt+ variants to us and that is our problem.

Weird excuses and below average experience.

Is this normal behavior. Although we can say that it is good that KIAs air bags are extra sensitive. But still, there seems no impact on bumper, windshield shattered and air bags deployed.

And when I press it now, Driving Rear View Monitor gets activated.

When will people realize value of seat belts There seems to be some strong impact for sure that the driver hit the windshield while a hard brake alone would not have caused him to hit the glass.

Windshield probably cracked due to Airbags and not occupant's head hitting it If that had been the cars it would have been fatal.

Oversensitive airbags are not safe, but hey any day better than the ones that don't deploy because we didn't "crash it properly"

Hello fellow Seltos owners, I got an aftermarket seat cover and steering cover installed from Car Park, Trivandrum on my Seltos HTK+.

Cost of leather seat cover (soft leather, they said): Rs 12800 (I know this is expensive but it feels good and looks good to me)
Steering cover (with the same material): Rs 950

I asked them to do leather padding on the front arm rest as well. But they said it can't be done since it is moulded or fixed, they cannot remove it. I saw that we can get arm rest covers online, but the fit looks ugly IMO.

My SA just informed me 6 GTX+ DCTs are in transit which includes mine. I have to choose between white and silver though. Hopefully, I will drive the first GTX+ in Odisha!

How are you guys planning or doing the break-in period? I will follow a sedate method keeping the RPM between 2 and 3k with occasional high-speed bursts in order to open the engine and let it get accustomed. And engine oil and oil filter change at 1000 km and again the same change at 2000 km before going by the normal schedule.
