Earlier snapdeal had a cheaper option, but now the product is discontinued.
Rectangular fog lamps are hard to find and there are Balenos running with round ones, have a look if you are interested.

PS : There is a dedicated thread on this topic

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

Looking for a complete suspension overhaul for my 2004 model Baleno.

Off late it is being thudding like anything even for small pot holes. The mechanic advised to change the shocks. I would also like to replace the Lower arm (or atleast the bushes). Any pointers on what would be the cheapest option. As you know, SGP will be super expensive. Anyone over here in Bangalore has done this or aware of.

The cylinder-head gasket of the Zen-MPFI is an exact fit for the Baleno.

Maybe already mentioned in this thread, but I got it changed yesterday for my Baleno & the Zen's gasket was used.

Ready to go into my Baleno tomorrow at Mahindra first choice. Hoping the issue will resolved.

Attachment 1600959
Is it the front end pair?

Is it advisable to change all 4 struts when doing so? It may affect the ride/balance if two are new and the older ones are sagged

Re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

^^ the front two have to be changed as a pair else handling can be severely compromised , at speeds >60kmph.

The rears again have to be changed as a pair.

All 4 need not be changed at a time together , but again , it is up to the owner and driving habits.

Changing all 4 is definitely a better choice but not mandatory. Also like vigsom quoted earlier, it depends a lot on driving habits and individual requirements. Having said this rear dampers play a vital role in ride & cornering.

Yes, it is the front pair. Rear shocks are not as weak, so did not change, and there is no real need that you have to change four in one go.

Changing the front shocks has not solved all my problem. The thud sound which was there earlier is still there, but the shocks are smooth now, and also I am bit confident now with the suspension. Next in line is the lower arm replacement.

Also, today I picked up these front brake pads from JK, 750/- for the set. Need to get them replaced. The present one is almost its end of life. The SGP quoted me 6500/- . Hoping these Delphi ones will do the job.

I have another question guys. One thing is leading to the other. Now the ODO at 1.25L Kms, it looks like it is time for the timing belt replacement. I checked with JK automobiles on the same, and they have it which costs about 1K. And the make is "Gates". I was just wondering whether this brand is good enough for this critical component. SGP will definitely quote a whopping price. Anybody know about Gates?

Go with SGP for such a critical component, and the price difference is also not that much. Part details of timing chain and tensioner-

Timing Belt
Part No: 11407-71C00(SGP)
Price: Rs.1614

Tensioner(Optional, but recommended)
Part No: 12810M71C22/33(MGP)
Price: Rs. 616

Regards,
Shashi

May I ask you where you get these information from?

I would definitely check with the SGP distributor tomorrow if he can source this. None of the Baleno parts used to be in stock with them, but they source it upon order and advance payment.

Is there any alternate for AC vents? Or does any other MS vehicle share the same part? Couple of AC vents in my car was broken.

Centre OEM vents for Old baleno:

Part No: 73611-75F20-5PK
Price=Rs. 578.50

Driver side OEM vent for Old Baleno

Part No:73630-64G01-T01
Price=Rs. 697
or
73630-64G01-4PZ
Price=Rs. 704.50

LHS OEM vent for Old baleno

Part no: 73640-64G01-T01
Price: Rs.697
or
73640-64G01-4PZ
Price=Rs. 689.50

T01/4PZ signifies some color difference. T01 is grey, 4PZ is probably a different shade of grey.

Alternate

From whatever little I remember, the vents on Old WagonR and Baleno look same. So you should try old WagonR's vents once.

Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan-balenoint9.jpg

Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan-dash-01.jpg

So centre vent of old wagonR=73631M81A10-5PK=Rs.60.50
Side vents of of old wagonR=73631M81A10=Rs.60.50

Do excuse me if you end up wasting 60 rupees for WagonR experiment.
