I was initially interested in this and called up the dealer in Bangalore but as per him this can't be fit on the XUV700. I think he also mentioned that they didn't have the product.

Some of the roof boxes are really nice but fitting one would cost around a lakh. Then I also checked with Farad and a similar setup would cost half the price. They were also claiming to be the official supplier for OEM roof rails for the XUV700.

Currently I am still looking around for other options and any place I can go in NCR to physically see the products if possible.

Wow. Is this legal in India? Could be a good solution for our cramped luggage carriers

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Booked my MX Petrol in Midnight Black on 16th in Karnal. Dealer didn't offer any price protection and wrote delivery time as 3 to 4 months. It wasn't a good experience, but better than other Mahindra dealerships in the vicinity. Is there any way to check tentative delivery date or any realistic information about delivery rather than just guesstimates?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Also on our very first trip, some biker bumped us from back when we did a slow stop ( it was not all a suden stop). The bumper broke. Now have to replace the bumper. may be i should go with steel bumper now. Attached the picture. Hope its useful for some one in deciding the bumper.[/quote]

No issues with the network on the said date. Did this incident happen at Vijayawada? Bikers are way too rash here and that is the reason why I had specifically gone in for SS type rear guard as these ABS type guards cannot take such impacts.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

A good friend's AX7L hit a dog from the front on the driver's side on the highway. He was doing 110 kmph. He had no time to react or brake.

The result:-

He says the affected/to be replaced parts are not available at the Etawah dealership. He got in touch with a dealer in Ghaziabad, who is in the process of procuring them.

My question to the esteemed forum is, given a buyer who does not particularly cherish being a beta tester, does it make sense to:
  • Go ahead, buy now and enjoy the vehicle. Mahindra is invested and committed to this vehicle, and it should be a pleasant ownership experience overall.
  • Wait out 2+ years, not worth it.
Also, there are very few experiences in the forum for the MX variant. If we decide to go ahead, will be more than happy to share experiences or show the vehicle to any interested members.

I had booked an MX Petrol on 7th October, got delivery on 1st March and simply putting it, I JUST LOVE my drives with XUV700 MX Petrol.

For a month and a half and 600+ odd kms on the odo I have faced ZERO Niggles. Probably less tech = Reliable Mahindra. ICE and electricals are working seamlessly so are all mechnicals.

I used to avoid driving my 10 year old i10 (mint condition), but with new XUV 700 I just pick up the key and am ready to drive. Engine is butter smooth and power is always available, XUV challenges you to drive hard and yet feels solid & safe. Family loves the back seat space and comfort as well so icing on the cake.

We also have a Harrier diesel automatic in the family and XUV700 smokes it in sheer acceleration. If you love driving and are someone who don't care about gizmos then XUV700 MX Petrol is the car to go for especially at this price point there is no other alternative, PERIOD!

Couple of irritants are, bad IRVM, hint of turbo lag below 2K rpm, long clutch travel & low fuel economy

Sad that brand new vehicle has to sit in service center for two more days to get the approval for replacement part. replacement part expected in a week. hope this resolves the issue of internet connection and i can start using Adrenox remotely.

I am facing the exact same issue. The executive told me exactly the same thing here in Bangalore (Sireesh auto). Did you get a chance to have it checked further ?

Wow, what a colour! This complements the XUV so well. Hope the colour doesn't go mainstream and lose it's uniqueness!

Have you added any accessories at all? I have an MX Petrol booked for a relative and we are considering adding:
  • 17 inch alloys from the AX5
  • Fog lamps
  • Reverse parking camera
  • Window sill Matt chrome applique

All of these are available from the Mahindra M2All store.

What is the exact fuel efficiency you are getting?

I contacted them yesterday. They say it will be ready in another 1 month. I have already waited for 1 month. Now I'm not sure whether I should wait more.

Have any one tried 3D mats from m2all site? Does it look premium like Kagu 3D mats?

Thanks.

No, I did not. The brake noise is less compared to what I initially had. Will observe for next two weeks and then will visit. Will check with the exceutive whether they have any response from technical team before taking the vehicle. Any update for your issue?
