Thanks Sandsun. Need to get the FASTtag as well soon, may make sense to wait for some more time to let the ICICI process of issuing the tags to streamline

Accident on NICE road, Sunday - 2 adults and a child lost their lives.
This road witnesses a lot of over speeding and rashly driven vehicles.

120 speed limit on a 2+2 lane road? They got to be kidding. To have 120 speed limit, the road has to be at least 4+4 laned. This is based on my experience. I hope they is some guideline to fix speed limits. Otherwise it is just licence to speed.

You will need network only to register your car number in the app and load money. At the toll gate, no need to even take your phone out. Just mention your destination and that you are paying through Momoe.

NICE has stopped accepting 500 and 1000 INR notes from yesterday and has put the notice on toll plazas. I got caught behind a truck for more than 15 mts yesterday morning, this guy had only INR 500 note and got in to an argument with the NICE guys, after lot of arguments I could see the NICE folks accepted the 500 note and gave him change. All tolls in the NHs are made free till 11th Nov, but this is not made applicable for NICE

NICE road is not an NH, nor does it come under NHAI jurisdiction.

There was huge pileup at NICE Ecity entrance on 9th Nov evening around 6.30 pm due to the arguments around 500 and 1000 notes. Queue got extended to Hosur road and the police forced NICE to open the gates and let the vehicles pass without toll to ease the traffic jam. There was again a pileup and Benarghata exit since they started checking and collecting toll at the exit, sure same would have been the case at other exits as well.

I was returning from Hassan on 9th night. I entered NICE road at around 7:25 PM. There was a huge line of vehicles and a truck driver was arguing about change with the toll guys. After about 20 minutes of arguments, they opened up the toll gate and allowed everyone to go without paying the toll.

I just heard from a colleague that it was a repeat of the same story yesterday (10th Nov) around 6 PM at Ecity. I crossed around 7.15 pm and things were normal by then. Need to see how things are in the toll plazas on NH from 12th Nov

JFYI, tolls are being collected at the tolls in NICE road. Paid Rs 155 for the complete stretch 2 hours back. There was a queue in all the lanes but progressed slowly.

I paid toll yesterday and the day before on NICE road. Their argument was, this was private road and central govt's directive doesn't apply here.

I used NICE road today. While getting in from electronic city, I was asked to pay. But I said I won't pay because of the announcement made by Central government. He then let me go after a bit of hesitation.

But while coming back from Tumkur, they didn't allow me to pass through without paying even after telling the operator about morning incident. Since folks behind me were impatient and honking, I had to give up and pay the toll fee using Rs. 1000 note.

Morning at Banerghata entry, the car before me waved a 2000 INR note for the 33 Rs toll to ECity exit. I was mentally prepared for an argument and delay and was cursing myself for selecting that lane, but the toll keeper just waved him to proceed without paying. I am not sure if he was made to pay at the exit.
