Once you watch all episodes, please let us know if it is conclusive or not.

I don't want to start it if it is not.

Left Choona after 3.5 episodes, a joke of a plot (Ever seen a painter like that? and also you end up discussing something which can surely get you killed, with him of all people, some brilliant story telling :|) trying to make a guy ritchie series it seems, falls flat, poor acting, super poor plot, wonder how such series get made! Guns and Gulaab was a million times better honestly, though I still couldn't bring myself to complete it too.
Watched Season 4 of Hostel Daze on Amazon prime, it was the last season, though not as great as the earlier seasons, it still was an engrossing watch, nostalgia of college placement season and the different kinds of students one sees in that. 3.5/5

Choona: a comedy heist web series on Netflix.

I have finished it just now. A total of 8 episodes of around 45-55mins duration each. It is conclusive. Nothing left as a cliffhanger. The story could have been completed in 6 episodes so yes they did try to make an additional episode or two resulting in pacing issues.

I have one additional opinion about the final episode but that could drive others’ perspective towards one side as well so not saying anything else.

My final rating is 3.5/5 and I rate it as a good one time watch. To me, it was worth spending one Sunday of my life on this series (unlike the 3 seasons of Ragnarok).

I’ve hit the “loved it” icon on Netflix.

Concluding remarks:
It is made for those who want to see a light, time pass series. It is neither a hardcore comedy, nor hardcore serious stuff etc. Keeping such expectations will result in dissatisfaction.

Irai - Tamil

The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)-1.jpg

This was a decent watch but the subject can be a bit sensitive. Good acting by Sharath Kumar but his wife was pathetic. The storyline is predictable. Good BGM as well. Runtime is decent and doesn't bore you.

Rating - 3.5/5 (Available on aha). A definite one time watch.

Locked - Telugu

The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)-2.jpg

The only good thing is that they have kept each episode short. The synopsis looked interesting but the same can't be said about the series.

Rating - 1/5 (Available on aha with tamil audio). Can be avoided.

Rudra - Hindi

The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)-3.jpg

This was a decent series. Not sure about Ajay Devgan's and Esha Deol's acting but Raashii Khanna was quite decent. Haven't seen the original so can't comment which is better. The runtime is pretty long with around 1 hour for each episode and some are quite graphic.

Rating - 3/5 (Available on Hotstar). One time watch.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Law & Order SVU is airing on Jio Cinema premium. I find it the best made in the Law & Order franchise with an amazing cast and very relevant storylines. Seasons 20-24 are available, which also includes the Covid pandemic period that is well-captured in the series.
Incidentally I wasn't planning to get a Jio Cinema premium subscription but Mom watches VOOT and it has apparently been acquired by Jio so we got automatic access. Content-wise it's very good (the HBO catalog has migrated here from Disney Hotstar) but the app is buggy as hell: it's such an annoyance to see parse errors in an app in 2023!

Edit: Still within the edit window, so including response to next post here...

I don't see any ads in the premium version! Am using it on an LG smart TV as well as another TV that has a Firestick attached. Maybe check your settings?

Some of their subscribed contents (like HBO) are ad-free. But the free ones will have ads even if I have premium subscription. This is what their website says:

The Capture (Season 1-2019): Wow, why nobody is talking about this show is still a mystery to me. Anyway, everyone should watch this intense yet exciting series since it will likely leave u feeling uneasy & wanting to check that your devices are secured just in case.

I face the same issue. I started using Jio Premium last weekend to watch the Asur web series. We realized soon that we cannot stand the frequent advts. I took the premium subscription for Hollywood movies as it was the only option hoping that the advts will go away. It did not go away and I see that others are facing the same issue when I checked online. The local content will have advts always it seems; irrespective of premium subscription.

The streaming issues are too much and this app takes the crown of the most buggy OTT app.

I use a Fire TV stick. I checked the Jio app in Fire TV settings and cleared Cache too. There are no updates pending. Seems I wasted money without any use.

You can use ad blocker to stop the ads. I use it and no ads on any website or streaming services whatsoever. You can set one on your router just by changing the DNS. Restart the router and done.

Thanks for this recommendation. Binge watched Season 1 and have to agree that this is very good TV. The acting, screenplay and storyline is spot on and the core idea that drives the show is so very believable. Rating it 5 stars and definitely recommend it to anyone who likes crime dramas.

I watched it when it was released. Top tier television. Will do a re-watch soon. Also, storyline is quite believable in today's time.

If you like the lead actress I can recommend another good show featuring her - C.B. Strike.

Thankfully, I see it's available on "Peacock" for US geo and not available on Netflix and Amazon.

Treason on Netflix

A typical intelligence-bureau thriller/drama set in the UK. Nothing unique in the storyline. Bodyguard (reviewed earlier) is much better.
