Thanks a lot. You just saved my 34,000

Thanks. Yes, will wait to hear. Think 225 should be enough. Or would it be wise to go with what's currently there. Saves money, mileage and more.

Experts can clarify if this tyre size can cause any long term damage to the car or void the warranty.
I did a 225/55 R17 and works like a bliss for me. No bulging out of the tyre from the frame. Super light steering and good handling

Are you looking for the change specifically because you felt a real lack of grip on turns at moderate speeds or under braking? If not - stick to the stock size. Seltos doesn't seem under-tyred at all.

I can see the Update button active on this screen which isn't the case for me(mine is grayed out). Are you able to use the update button?
There is a newer update available. The service centre sent a team member over with the update in a flash drive. Updates the system version and then the air purifier firmware. Took 10 minutes or so.

This was released on 31st October (see last 6 digits which are in YY/MM/DD format). The earlier version was released on 17th September.

After some initial hesitation, my SA agreed to provide this warranty. I have made the payment and should be getting my warranty copy/document soon. I guess this warranty option should be sufficient for most folks.
yes, I have been a victim of this fraud by dealer who never informed me that there are 2 options(Unlimited kms and 1,20,000 kms). Lost 4K unnecessarily. When I probed the dealer, the response was that they propose unlimited as they don't want customer to suffer later if mileage exceeds 1,20,000. What a lame response.

I believe you have booked a GTX+ which comes with 215/60 R17 tires. The stock ones have a diameter of 27.2", so if you wish to change your tires and not sure which one to go for, you may refer to https://tiresize.com/calculator/

But decide judiciously. Let's say you decide to go for 225/60 R17 tire, this will increase the diameter to 27.6" (+1.5%, within permissible limits) but may get heavier, resulting in an increase of unsprung weight which will eventually increase rotational weight.

Nice to hear that. I have the following doubts:

1) Did you notice any dip in the overall mileage of the car ?

2) Do manufacturers approve such small up-sizing w.r.t warranty, or is there any upper limit set by the manufacturer for such changes ?

Can you share the file and instructions here or atleast pm me on the side.

I'd like to do it update myself and avoid a trip to the dealer.

Thanks

Got the petrol car second service done at Epitome Kia, Bangalore, I asked them to change the engine oil, got the wheel alignment and balacing done, overall a good experience & satisfied with their service levels, only dry wash is provided which is outsourced to 3M, overall time taken 4.5 hours.

While I waited, took test drive of 7DCT to compare the ride comfort of 17 inchers, ensured 35psi but found the ride was not upto the comfort level of 16s, the difference was very obvious, as advised by experts here ECO and Sports mode can be best utilized on Highway, the normal mode is adequate for the city.

Cost break-up
1) Engine oil - 3.8 Litres - 1188
2) Wheel Alignment - 682
3) Wheel Balance - 372
4) Sticker wheel weights - 250
5) Various taxes - 474
Total - 2966

I drive a GTX+ myself and I haven't really used the UVO, air purifier and tpms yet.You should basically consider the 70k price difference and the mileage difference between the two..the 1.4 should be more fun to drive !

I asked for the file too but he refused to give it to me. Why don’t you try calling them and ask them to send a technician over? They offered the same to me without me asking.

Did you ever find out where the fastag is?
Visors are ugly indeed and cause some swoosh sound. I feel like removing them soon.

Lastly the door visors are looking quite ugly, should I have them removed or is it better I have them installed.

They gave it to me separately along with the invoice. I'll remove the visors in some time, they have been stuck to the sides so have to wait for the glue to dry properly.

Just want to share an observation. Yesterday in Gurgaon-Manesar stretch I saw a Seltos without the headlights & taillights on! Couldn't identify the model as it was fairly dark. When we overtook him I saw his bright DRL's on.
Wanted to signal him so that I could inform him but restrained myself as I thought if he is doing it deliberately then it would be offending to him.
