Dealer just confirmed for Vkool sunfilm, not sure of the exact worth of it.

I tried from two different dealers and getting approximately the same on road value, so just wanted to confirm if these are the right prices offered.

I am in the market for Vista Quadrajet and there is a 10K discount on the car. Delivery time would be max of 10 days depending on the color availability and stock. Also these discount and prices are only there for one more week. Post 15th March, prices are going to go up and there would be no discounts.

Vista QJD - When I inquired last month, it was around 15K min and some exchange bonus of upto 20-25k. Check for more.

Manza with 30K discount IIRC.

Saying about Price increase is the usual way to create an urgency for you to book the car but unfortunately that might become true this time :(

Well i have checked with most of the dealers in Bangalore. All are giving the flat 10k discount and not a penny more. No exchange bonus for me as i have already sold my old car. Along with this they are giving the usual freebies like door mats, mud flaps, idol, perfume & sunfilm.

If anyone has a better offer do share the same and provide the details. I am sure there would be a price hike post budget so i would close the deal by 15th March and not wait for the prices to shoot up.

Tata Safari Ex (Pearl White) - On Road Delhi Price

• 2011 model = 1 lakh discount = Rs 10,27,500 (after discount)
• 2012 model = 50k discount = Rs 10,57,500 (after discount)

Above mentioned prices are on road Delhi. It includes everyhting like Registartion, Insurance, extended warranty, AMC and excludes Basic Accessories pack (like tepmle, perfume, floor mats etc - worth Rs. 2,250).

Now considering the following:

• 2011 model is manufactured in Nov. and parked in company garage
• No test drive or anything like that but I need to do a PDI
• Plan to keep the beast for atleast 6-7 years (fingers crossed) .
• Dealer is Him Motors, PPG, Delhi

What is the BEST deal? 2011 or 2012 model?

IMO go for 2012 model as there isn't a much price difference in both of them, or push them for more discount for 2011 model if you can get some 60-70k more discount then it makes some sense to go for 2011 model, but make sure you do a extensive PDI of 2011 model in case you choose one before taking the final decision.

Thanks for such a quick resposne. Does that mean the 2011 Safari is available on a discount of 1.6 lakh ruppes? This will be too much. I was thinking that I have negotiated (50K) well for 2012 model but it seems they have not offered the proper discount for 2011 model.

Need to negotiate on 2011 again.

You should negotiate as hard as possible as you dont buy car everyday. Discount on 2011 model is very less as compared to 2012 model, 50k difference is less IMO.

Negotiate hard and i am sure you will get a good deal.

Lazing around earlier this afternoon, thought i do some constructive TPgiri. So went driving around and stopped at asset auto and enquired about any discounts on the Superb. The sales manager was very forthcoming on giving a 1,00,000 discount on the 1.8TSi A/T. When I equired on the availability of colours he said that he had only 3 colours and the rest of the colours have been discontinued. I was quite surprised to hear the same and I asked what if I insist on getting the superb in silver. He replied that he would have to speak to Skoda about the same, but he cant guarantee that i would get it. So i asked the next relevant question - is Skoda getting a refreshed Superb ready for the market to which he let loose a smile and said that he hasnt heard anything.
I stopped prying and went about looking at the car, asking him about the umbrella which was not in place and hundred other questions to which i already knew the answers to. Then I let slip a question on the unsuspecting salesman. I asked him what is included in the refresh model of the superb to which he candidly said that the passat has the bluemotion tech and the self parking feature. Stopped at that and said "i think they will include that in the refresh" wonder if something is really cooking up at Skoda.
